NO. It is a semi synthetic narcotic and a ketone of codeine, but it was synthesized as to not being codeine. It is 8 times stronger than codeine on a weight to weight bases, and instead of a 2.5 hour half life, it has a 3.8 hour half life. It is also a bitartrate, rather than a sulfate base.

I don't know, but that doesn't sound safe to me. i was just prescrided pain killers and muscle relaxers for my back. i believe those meds gave me panic attacks, and the doctor prescrided me xanax only .5mg. i think i need a higher dose bec. i still feel anxious alot and cant stop thinking about it. I would not recomend taking all of those drugs nless you talk to a doctor. I was taking my Meds like i was prescrided and it made me feel like i was going to have a heart attack or die.now i am only taking Xanax. I would rather have a broken back then have the anxiety!!!! I don't know if this helps, but just alittle something to give you an idea.

well, i am not sure if u mean withdrawls of using the drug, or effects of detox, but ill answer both.

as a 5 year addict of oxys, around 100mgs a day give or take, the withdrawls of using the drug its self are its impact on your life, your family, your job or career, self esteem, it almost impacts everything eventually. between me and my wife we make around 1,000 to 1250$ a week, and live with my mom, and pay a bare minimum of bills, we stay broke. that's enuf about that.

the detox effects (for me) start about 10-12 hours after my last dose and start off with a feeling of tiredness and soon turns into depression. both of those last the whole time, not to long after a feeling of incomfortability in any position your sitting or laying in. sneezing unstoppably, runny nose, wattery eyes, diharrea, MUSCLE ACHES, HOT/COLD sweats, very very bad sweating exspecially when or if u manage to get an hr of sleep in, you will wake up soaked from sweat most of the time i have to change clothes. all these effects for me hit within 24 hours or less. the one that makes it all to much for me to deal with is the feeling of depression and being totally alone in my struggle. this is what has made it IMPOSSIBLE for me to get clean.

that's the short list, there are more symptoms to detox, but those are the ones that really bother me, i also get RLS, and my back feels like its on fire, and have terrible nightmares,, even tho i don't hardly ever dream, i certainly do when im in detox.

percocet is a little bit stronger than vicodin in terms of its sedating and painkilling effects. i had my wisdom teeth out a month ago and after a few days the vicodin the doctor prescribed me for pain gradually lost its effect. he then prescribed me percocet which felt stronger to me but like the vicodin it gradually lost its effect. your body tends to build high tolerances to these drugs if used consistently.

I had the same question and checked with the GI nurse at Kaiser. She informed me that as long as it doesn't have Aspirin with it (usually hydrocodone has tylenol), it's okay to take. just not on the day of the procedure
