Tourism is an industry which includes all kind of economic activities or businesses related to travels, for recreational, leisure or business purposes, made by a person or persons that stays in places, at least two nights, outside their usual environment.
This means that Tourism is not the activity or practice of touring, especially for pleasure, but the business or industry of providing information, accommodations, transportation, and other services to tourists, such as the promotion of destinations and products. Tourism is based on the travel of people that are visiting places other than their homes.

India is a beautiful and exotic country with colorful traditions and centuries of history. However, the country can be difficult to maneuver for a tourist visiting India. Much of India's infrastructure has not been updated since the British left in 1947, so transportation and facilities, while available, have yet to be modernized. If India wants to establish itself as a solid travel destination and increase tourism, government and business should take steps to make the country more hospitable to foreign travelers. Below are some suggestions as to how to accomplish that.
(1) Advertising
Any paid form of non-personal communication of ideas or products in the "prime media": i.e. television, newspapers, magazines, billboard posters, radio, cinema etc. Advertising is intended to persuade and to inform. The two basic aspects of advertising are the message (what you want your communication to say) and the medium (how you get your message across)
(2) Personal Selling
Oral communication with potential buyers of a product with the intention of making a sale. The personal selling may focus initially on developing a relationship with the potential buyer, but will always ultimately end with an attempt to "close the sale".
(3) Sales Promotion
Providing incentives to customers or to the distribution channel to stimulate demand for a product.
(4) Publicity
The communication of a product, brand or business by placing information about it in the media without paying for the time or media space directly. otherwise known as "public relations" or PR.
The UK Aviation society and travel industries are very closely linked especially on commercial airlines dealing with holiday makers, this is because in order for holiday maskers to travel on the airline they need to go through travel agents and tour operators to find the airline that is rite for them and to book there tickets. There are different types of airline travel that companies have to offer they are budget, scheduled, charted and cargo. It is up to the travel agents to make sure the passengers get the appropriate flight for them aka they wouldn't send a high class business man on a budget airline.
