COULD India become a superpower?
Nothing is imposible in the world . But it will be take time.
if we are going on proper way then we acieve our goal.
It is not Possible by 2020. But it will take atleast 60 years from now. I have the strong reason for that. China is leading us in terms of GDP,military power,Space technology and in everything. Our GDP is approx 800 Billion $ and GDP of USA is 12000 Billion $. GDP of China is approx 1500 Billion $ .Every year we have GDP growth rate of maximum 20%.
We have not yet finished our mission to Moon called Chandriyan-I,We don't have Intercontinental ballistic missile technology which can launch missile for more than 5500 kilometers. We have only intermediate range ballistic missile technology.
Most of our population lives below poverty line. Most part of India have no proper roads.
You can imagine if we satisfy all the conditions below we can hope to become Superpower.
1. Every family in India should have Car and no two wheelers should be allowed,
2. Every person's minimum monthly income/salary should be 2000 USD Rs.100,000(one Lakh).
3. Implement strict Environment policy, good Highways, roads which connects all the part of India.
4. Get rid of slums(joped pattis) in around metropolitan cities in India.
5. Connect river ganges with river cauvery to get plenty of water for South Indian agriculture.(It will take minimum 15 years to complete)
6. Implement Sedu samudra scheme which allows International Sea traffic through Indian waters which will fetch lot of money for India,
7. Implement 25% flat income tax for all people irrespective of rich or poor like in USA. If nobody pays tax how India will become superpower?
8. Remove reservation/quotas and encourage pure genuine talented people for modern India,
9. Complete our moon mission by 2008 as scheduled,
10. Spend money on research of Intercontinental ballistic missile
By the time we finish all the above it will be 2065 and India will be superpower.

What social changes in India took place after independence?
Age-old social institutions are being replaced by modern institutions even in villages and remote areas. Family structure, village power-structure, bondages of castes, cultural values, institutions like marriage, peer-group, reference groups etc. are in the process of transformation in accordance with the economic values generated by world economy, particularly to match with the forces of market ecoomy. However, as the political leadership lacked/s the will to implement the constitutional mandate (as given in the preamble itself), natural resource is still in the hands of some powerful political and economic goons. This has widen the gap not only between the castes and groups but also amongst the economic blocks and regions. Ethical and moral values have been replaced by money-values leading corruption on one side. and providing opportunities to form new institutions withwome sort of democratic human values for sustainability of the system itself. So called traditional Indian value system has been placed at the periphery of the society for observation of marginalized people. Transformation of Indian society having democratic values in operation may be accelerated by the academics and officers of repute.
