Why you use minus to zero range in drum level transmitter?
I refer to Steam Boiler drum level.
It is actually - to some positive figure is the range. Generally the boiler level is maintained at mid point that is zero. The transmistter is differential type. (DP type) If the transmitter is with a specified signal out put of 4-20 mA, it sends out 4 mA at lowest level and 20 mA at highest level. At mid level zero it sends out 12 mA. Differential pressure is highest at actual lowest level and lowest at actual highest level of the drum.
By keeping negative to positive range there is fair amount of analog signal on lower and higher side of the drum.
Why is titanium more useful than steel?
That depends on what you want it for. Ti can be as strong as steel, but a lot lighter, which can be useful.
However, Ti is a lot more expensive, so unless weight is really important, you might prefer steel anyhow.
Steel can also be made more wear resistant, and is easier to make good cutting tools of, which is important in some cases.
What is the responsibility of Industrial engineers in Indutries?
To design the manufacturing structure of the company. They also design products using autocadd or other type of software.
What is a turbine barring gear?
When a large turbine rotor stops it will still be hot and will tend to bend in the middle if left to cool normally. To prevent this the barring gear will turn the rotor slightly at given intervals during the cool down period.
Why is short bead in welding on mild steel and high tensile steel are to be avoided?
Short bead as well as arc strikes create a sudden localized temperature increase to the metal and can cause cracking.
What is resin impregnation process?
In resin impregnation, any porous material is made impervious by filling its pores with the resin.
What is the purpose of boiler drum?
Purpose of the boiler drum is to collect steam from all the various tubes in a boiler, and send it to the turbine to spin the generator
yes you certainly can mate
How much an PLC have outputs and inputs maximum?
There are PLC with fixed inputs and outputs. There are modular ones which can be added on with inputs and outputs. So number of input and output of a PLC is actually based on the type of PLC you choose. Different types are available in the market.
What is the density of steel as per IS 2062?
The density of steel as per IS 2062 will vary. This is because steel's density typically changes with composition.
What means of 2Hi rolling mill?
"HI" is a latin word, its real meaning is horiontal roll, now u can easly understand the meaning of 2hi, 4hi, 6hi & 20 hi , for example 2hi mean two horizontal roll which is used for rolling the iron.
What are the examples of instrumental error?
If an instrument is indicating a wrong parameter instead of actual. Say the actual pressure is 1 bar but the instrument is reading 1.5 bar is an example of instrumental error.
SIMOCODE is a motor management system provided by SEIMENS, which helps to circuit overload protection, control & communication capabilities in a single package for motors. Currently it has two type that is SIMOCODE pro C & SIMOCODE pro V. SIMOCODE pro V is more advance & it use for more complex applications. Another features of SIMOCODE pro motor management system is the amount of information that can be monitored, collected & communicated, high degree of details on status & performance of each motor load is possible by using this.

Calibration is required to maintain the accuracy and reliability of instruments.
What is the device that produce gain active or passive?
Either. although a passive device can only produce gain from 0-1 (-inf to 0dB)
an active device on the other hand is capable of producing gain thats greater than 1 (0dB)
Can an Industrial Engineer work as a Electrical Engineer?
No, There's difference b/w that work. If they no how to work then they can do!
What are Total Harmonic Distortion and its effects on electrical system?
To put it simply, harmonics are unwanted, predictable, and repeatable noise riding on an electrical waveform.
In power applications, harmonics can damage equipment, overheat transformers, and cause erratic operation.
This is especially true if the harmonic is a multiple of the base frequency (100 Hertz, 150 Hertz, etc. for a 50Hz reference).
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is a term to describe the total waveform distortion by all the harmonics present on the waveform.
You should have as little as possible. Many power utilities require a THD limit at the point where a facilities connects to the utility.
What is to Rockwell Hardness of 410 stainless steel?
ANSWER: Rockwell (HRC) 50.
Grade 420 stainless steel (Fe,
its the fastener to a cam lever. this is what was thought to have snapped off in foul weather, resulting in the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald
How current transfomer is step up voltage transformer n step down current transformer?
Current transformers are not voltage transformers. Current transformer are used for metering or protection purposes, with single turn primary. Generally the secondary current is either 1Amps or 5Amps.
What is the difference between astm b36.10 and astm b36.19?
ANSI B36.10 relates to Carbon Steel Pipe, whilst ANSI B36.19 relates to Stainless steel pipe.
10 ma times 50 ohms is 0.5 volts. 0.5 volts is one two hundreth of 100 volts, so the multiplier resistor on 200 time 50, or 10,000 ohms.
