You could try putting the ipod touch in a bag/container of rice. This will soak up the water. If this doesnt work, bring it to the Apple store. Sometimes, they can fix it.

if it is a 3rd generation you use the blacra1n program again. if not restore it in itunes.

You must install iTunes. Install iTunes, get the music files into your library, then from your itunes library, you can put them onto your ipod touch.

No you do not have to have an i pod for i tunes. You can just get i tunes installed and browse their new realeases of music. But some people preffer to have an i pod with i tunes because if they find a song that they really like then they would want to download it.

when it is on stand-by it is still using about 10% of the battery as it is when turned on and being used, however when it is powerd-off it does not use any battery power however the battery power does slowly go down, ie if you turn it off fully charged and go back to it a few months later the battery will no longer be fully charged. so in answer to your question, turn it off when you go to bed, there is no need to leave it on stand-by apart from to waste battery and when you want to listen to it in the morning it does not take as long to load up.

No. To transfer apps to another iPod this is what you have to do:

Connect your iPhone into your MAC or PC and iTunes should pop-up (if it doesn't it means you've disabled it to do so, so open it up yourself). In the top left side of the screen on your MAC, click file, then there will be a button which says 'Transfer Purchases from iPod'. It does not matter if you connect iPhone, iPod, iPhone... it will do it with anything. Also it includes all free and paid apps.

After doing this disconnect iPod and connect new iPod where just sync it; MAKE SURE that the box 'sync apps with iPod' is ticked, you can check it when you connect your iPod to iTunes, click on it and there will be a tab called 'APPS', there you will find the box.
