If you have the songs or videos saved onto your computer you can import files through itunes. You do no have to have a CD to put your songs on your iPod, you just need them saved somewhere on your pc.

I have had the same problem. Clam down and relax. The way apple suggest to fix this issue is to:

1. slide the hold button (one on the bottom of your iPod) and then slide it back.

2. Hold the center button and the menu button together for around 5-7 seconds/until the apple sign appears.

* make sure you are pressing both the Menu & the Center.

3. Your iPod will then return to it's original state within 30 seconds, now continue to use your iPod as you did before!

Try to remember this as it is quite simple!
