Why are some children born smarter than others?
Genetics is the primary reason and can be tested and documented. Another explainable theory is the socio/economic/educational environment of the child.
But there have been child savants that have unexplained gifts of memory and problem-solving skills far superior of any genetic history or any reasonable environmental explanation.
We have read research studies that simply concluded there was no logical nor defined explainable reason but just a quirk of nature. Some autistic children are gifted in certain studies of calculation and memory skills but this is rare and quite unexplainable. Brain studies are defining and discovering mysteries of the power and potential still untapped in the tissue, nerves and synapses of man's brain.
The question is unclear.
The average IQ is 100.
Countries can have an average IQ that is different.
Think South Korea and Israel.
What percentage of children will score with in average range of IQ?
It depends to some extent on how you define "average". Most modern IQ tests are designed to give a normal distribution curve, meaning that 2/3 of the people will score within one standard deviation of the mean. (On the Stanford-Binet test, this means between 85 and 115).

The information below (concerning Lewis Terman) is a century out of date. It is not the score that determines superior intelligence, but the percentile or standard deviation. A score of 140 on one IQ test is not equivalent to a score of 140 an a different test. The term "genius" is also highly subjective. Only the median score of 100 is consistent across these scales. For example, a score of 130 on the Wechsler scale is actually higher than a score of 140 on the Cattell Culture Fair scale.
.
The current consensus in the field of psychology is that a score of two standard deviations above the mean is an indication of intellectual giftedness. Conventional IQ tests have a ceiling of about two standard deviations and are not useful for assessing intelligence beyond that point. Scores above 160 are generally arrived at through the analysis of psychologists trained in psychometric measurement rather than an individual test.
.
For someone to actually be considered a genius, one should have an intellect equal to an authority in an occupational field requiring abstract reasoning and creativity. A genius should be able to fully understand or even make advancements in mathematics, science, medicine, law, or literature, etc. No one is considered a genius on the basis of a standardized IQ test alone.

"Lewis Terman (1916) developed the original notion of IQ and proposed this scale for classifying IQ
scores:
Over 140 - Genius or near genius
120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence
110 - 119 - Superior intelligence
90 - 109 - Normal or average intelligence
80 - 89 - Dullness
70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency
Under 70 - Definite feeble-mindedness
What is tshe average IQ for a 20 yr old female?

Does the information look sensible?
Does the website end in '.gov'? - If so then it probably is trustworthy because it is from the government.
What does it mean if your IQ is 120?
You're pretty smart!
Over 140 - Genius or almost genius
120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence
110 - 119 - Superior intelligence
90 - 109 - Average or normal intelligence
80 - 89 - Dullness
70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency in intelligence
Under 70 - Feeble-mindedness
Who get highest score IQ test?
Marilyn Vos Savant at 228, but that is with modern testing. I doubt she could match DaVinci for talent and inventiveness. Today's tests only measure raw intelligence.
How old do you have to be to take a IQ test?
It depends what type of test you mean. For instance, to take a Mensa test, you have to be over ten-and-a-half to take the main test. Also, if you are under 16, you must be accompanied by an adult (over 16) for the full duration of the test. I took a Mensa test a few weeks back and I'm 13, so my dad stayed on the premises while I was tested. Unfortunately I didn't get in, but I have an IQ OF 138, which is classed as very superior on the Weschler scale. Then again, my dad took it when he was 27 and got an IQ score of 159.
Hope this helps,

What does a score of 76 mean on the slosson intelligence test?
Generally, an "average" IQ score falls between 90-110. A score of 76 might indicate a need for some sort of educational intervention, i. e., reading remediation, etc.
What percent of the population has IQ scores between 70 and 130?
About 95% of the population has IQ scores between 70 and 130. This is the average range on a standard IQ test.
What does a 132 IQ result mean for an adult?
Gifted
130 - 139
You have a unique imagination and logical mind.
What is the average score on the border patrol test?
I personally scored a 90. The average is 90-94 apparently but it is very difficult.
Is a 102 IQ good for a 4 year old?
IQ typically doesnt change with age. It is 4 points above average, which is pretty smart
his IQ is over 300, don't think they can actually put a number on it as it seems to keep expanding since his mind was affected along with his boy by the cosmic rays
What percentage of the population has an average IQ?
You need to rephrase the question to get a meaningful answer.
The average IQ is 100 and only a small percent have exactly that IQ.
Most, however, are within the range of 85-100.
Is an IQ of 107 good for a 13 year old?
i do not believe age comes into the question since how old the person is is considered in the test however, regardless an IQ of 107 is above the average, which stands at 100.
What are the requisites of a good average?
Requisites of a Good Average
IQ is difficult to measure for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. One method of testing might show extreme genius (which she is), while another method might show her as retarded.
IQ numbers themselves are very flawed. They are extremely limited.
If one person does well on math, reading, and logic puzzles (but knows nothing of art, dance, or interpersonal relationships), he will score very well on IQ tests.
If another person doesn't do well with math, reading, and logic puzzles (but is a brilliant dancer, a natural artist, and a friend who can sense the feelings of others) that person will do much worse on IQ tests.
Temple's special abilities would likely show up in spatial logic tests and visual memory tests. These are in some IQ tests but not others. People like Temple tend not to do terribly well on verbal tests because they give answers that make sense to them but are not what the test designer expected.
For example: IQ test question:
Which animal does not belong in this group:
a) rat b) squirrel c) monkey d) goose e) beaver
The test designer 'wants' you to answer d) goose because it is not a mammal. However, in most of the United States the answer c) monkey is perfectly valid, because it is the only one not native to the United States.
The answer to 22 = c is c = 0, as shown below.
22 = c
multiply both sides by c
22c = c^2
subtract 484 from both sides
22c - 484 = c^2 - 484
factor
22(c - 22) = (c-22)(c+22)
dived both sides by c - 22
22 = c +22
subtract 22 from both sides
0 = c
