No, its branch of Islam.
shia and sunni have mostly same beliefs
but shia believe after death of prophet God select the successive of prophet who is the leader of Muslim community and people can not select it.
shia believe the Imam (successor of prophet) is appointed only by God and can not be selected by people because God said in Koran: "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." (Quran 2:30)
this means only God can select an Islamic leader.
in shia they are only fourteen infallible (12 Imams and prophet and his daughter Fatimah Zahra (sa))
and all of them are the same and have no mistake and have the knowledge of everything (this knowledge is from God and by permission of God and is not absolute knowledge. absolute knowledge is only for God and they still do not know many things. but they know anything human may need to know.) and they never die and they hear all sayings and even thinks of all humans after their death by permission of God and they are intermediates between God and human.
and shia Muslims always support them and forgive their lives for them.

Thank you for your interest in Islam. firstly i would like to tell you that we don't have a date to worship Allah we always worship Allah day or night . Second, I would like to tell you that in Islam, we worship Allah all the time, not saying a bad word, working hard in our job and praying 5 times to him every day is considered worshipping Allah. We do not have "specific" dates nor specific dates to worship him; however, before we pray, the place we pray in should be clean, and we should stand to the position of the Kaaba.
On Fridays in Egypt, for example, all of the schools take it a day off, so all students have it a day off, because this is a day loved by Allah and we go to the Friday prayer to listen to the "Khutbah" in the Masjid, where we assemble together and listen to the Imam, or Sheikh, telling us about a certain topic that we need to know about, such as: Honesty, Responsibility, and Love for our country and faith.

What word did the Islamic mathematician Al-Khwarizmi invent?
He didn't invent, but rather used the word, "al-jabr," which means "restoration" in Arabic, to describe his method of defining an unknown quantity as a variable and then manipulating it within an equation to arrive at its value. In other words, "al-jabr" means to perform an algebraic process, hence the word "algebra" being derived from it.
His name (Al-Khwarizmi) is the root for the word "algorithm" although Al-Khwarizmi himself did not coin the word.
Islam doesn't exactly have a single creed, but five pillars that act in a similar way.
The first pillar is profession of faith in Allah (God) and Mohammed as his prophet. Essentially it is saying that "There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet." This is all one has to say to become a Muslim and is ideally what Muslims try to say as their last words. The second pillar is to pray five times a day, at sunrise, sunset, noon, midafternoon, and nightfall. The third is to pay alms or give to charity. The fourth is to fast from sunup to sundown during the holy month of Ramadan. The last, called hajj, is to make or help someone make the pilgrimage to the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia at least once in one's lifetime. The other basic no-no's of Islam are no drinking, blood feuds, gambling, of infanticide.

What is the origin of the burqa?
627 C.E.
The Prophet Muhammad wanted to segregate the women from the men. Also, he wanted to help the women to wear a hijab so they won't be recognized in the streets, and no harm would come to them.
The above answer gives the (wrong) impression that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) wanted on his own to introduce hijab. The fact is that he was ordered by Allah as per following quotation from The Noble Qur'an - Al-Ahzab 33:59
"O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to wear over them "jalabeebs". That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. "
The interpretation of jalabeeb can be given only by a person who is well versed with Arabic language, and the customs of Arabs in those days when the order came from Allah. May be jalabeeb was worn to distinguish the Muslim women from non-Muslims as the latter went around showing themselves without any hijab.
I invite some Arab scholar to kindly elaborate on jalabeeb. Jazak Allah Khair, (May Allah reward you with good)
yes.

To what person do Judaism Christianity and Islam trace their origins?
Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe Abraham to have been the one figure of ancient times from which they can trace their common heritage. For this reason, Judaism, Christianity and Islam are sometimes referred to as Abrahamic religions.
He is not the "main deity". He is the Only Deity. The One God of Abraham. In Hebrew Eloha, in Aramaic (the language of Jesus) Alaha, and in Arabic Allah.
This is the only God that has ever been. No partners has He, and no offspring. He is not like His creation, and is not within His creation. He is beyond all creation and beyond all senses.
"Say He, alone, is God. The One upon whom everything completely depends upon - for everything. He does not beget offspring, nor was He begotten of anyone; and there is nothing at all like unto Him". Qur'an, Chapter 112
Muslims are the one people who refuse to worship anything other than the One God, alone.

Why is the Kaaba circled 7 times?
Turning around the Kaaba is a kind of ritual prayer. So, like any other ritual worship, it is done according to God's commands and prophet Muhammad's teachings. There is no room for discussion or debate. Otherwise, one may ask why 5 prayers a day and not one or four or ten and why we fast all the month of Ramadan... Showing obedience and full surrender to God (Allah) is the logic of all ritual worship. The Quran says (Meaning English translation):
" ... and whoever honors the sacred things of Allah, then that is better for him/her with his Lord..."
[Quran, chapter 22, verse 32]Shahada is to witness that No God except one and only one God (the creator) and that prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him is His prophet and messenger. it is the first and most important pillar of Islam five pillars. Refer to question below.
