Why did Islam split into different sects - Sunni Shiite and Sufi?
Answer 1
Islam is Sunni and it did not split.It passed down from the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of god be upon him).Shias are a sect which changed alot of the teachings of the Prophet.Most of the Muslims regard them as non Muslim.Sufism is the name given to those who spend their lives in solitude in the worship of God.
Answer 2
These three did not split off at the same time.
Sunni and Shiite Islam split over disagreements over Succession after Mohammed's death. The Muslim community was united while Mohammed was the leader of this community. Most Muslims hold, however, that he never specifically chose a successor to his leadership. There was a minority in the community that supported the candidacy of 'Ali, the Prophet's son-in-law, this political faction became known as the "Supporters of 'Ali" which in Arabic is Shiat 'Ali (where the modern term "Shiite" comes from). They derived their support from specific hadiths and events that they claimed showed that God had revealed to Mohammed that 'Ali would succeed him. The majority of Muslims held that these hadiths and events showed nothing more than that 'Ali was very pious, something they did not deny. Therefore they gave power to the man who was Mohammed's second-in-command and father-in-law Abu Bakr. This majority were called the People of the Customs [of the Prophet] which in Arabic is Ahl Sunna (from where the modern term "Sunni" comes from.)
Sufism split from the Sunni Orthodoxy only to the extent that Sufism stresses an emotional connection to God over the legalistic doctrines upon which Sunni Orthodoxy relies. Sunni Orthodox leaders occasionally have problems with the fact that the Sufis do not emphasize the law. However, most Muslims consider Sufis to still be Muslims. The Faqihs and Islamic Scholars take it as an insult that the particular minutiae that define their profession are not seen as valuable by the Sufis. In turn the Sufis are much more interested in loving God and devoting themselves to seeing higher-meanings in sacred texts. They also seek to replicate the relationships that other now-dead Sufi Scholars had with the Divine, which is why they pray near the physicality of the dead Saint (i.e. at his tomb). Sufism is just as much a part of Islam as is traditional Islamic Jurisprudence and uses this jurisprudence in a looser and more emotional way. Similar parallels can be drawn between Kabbalah (the real thing - not Madonna stuff) and Judaism.
It is important to note that these splits are not the only splits in Islam. To read about other splits, please see the Related Question below: Why did the Islam branches separate?
Are there any living descendents of Muhammad recognized by the Shia Imams?

How do you communicate with jinn?
Praise be to Allaah.ified Arabic""> ified Arabic">It is possible to talk to the jinn, but finding about unseen matters and what is in people's hearts is haraam. Usually those who use words and phrases of the Qur'aan in order to gain control over the jinn use ways that are not Islamic. Using the jinn is a power that was given only to Sulaymaan (peace be upon him). Hence when the Prophet if"> (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wanted to tie up a jinn whom he had overcome during his prayer, he remembered the du'aa' of Sulayman and did not do that. ified Arabic">So you should try to advise these people and if they respond, all well and good; otherwise the safest thing to do is to leave them alone and not speak to them. ified Arabic">Ahl al-Kitaab (the People of the Book) are the Jews and Christians. ified Arabic">It is OK to speak with the jinn if this happens without you seeking it, and in fact it is mustahabb to call them to the religion of Allaah and to adhere to His sharee'ah, just as you call people. It is not advisable to read books or to recite Qur'aan for this purpose, because the Qur'aan was not revealed for such things; it was revealed to be a light and a guide in the life of the Muslim, so that the Muslim can follow it, obeying its commandments and avoiding that which it forbids. ified Arabic">With regard to the angels, the Prophet if"> (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and other prophets saw them, and some of the awliyaa' (close friends of Allaah) spoke with them, as it was reported from 'Imraan ibn Husayn (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the angels used to greet him with salaam until he started to use branding (cauterization for medical purposes), then they stopped. When he stopped using branding, they started to greet him again. And Allaah knows best.

Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him was the Seal of the Prophet Hood.
Lets Discuss Why?
1- All the prophets Came From Allah (God) and all are respectable and were assigned duties which they fulfilled to their best. But All the prophets except Mohammad Peace be upon Him were sent towards a single community. Muhammad Peace Upon Him was appointed to address the whole generation without a prejudice of white or Brown or Black. Without a Restriction for East or West or North or South. He did not come to Reject all the others who came before him. He Actually Established the Originality of messages from all the prophets before him. It is unique think to understand that Muhammad Peace Be Upon Prayed Before God on Qibla Awal Bait ul Maqdas defining it the Qibla(Directed Place) From God Almighty. And he also Prayed inside Masjid Al Haraam ( Translation: Sacred Mosque).
2- Secondly He came to remove the misconceptions of people. God blessed him with Al-quran a sacred Book.( This book is not only sacred, it is a complete book in its truest sense. You cannot find a single copy on this earth which is different from the Main. If you Go to Saudi Arabia you will find the same Al Quran. If you go to any country of Europe you will find the same Al Quran. There is no difference between Muslims on the basis of Al Quran, as compared to the other religions in which there are many books which promise to be divine copy of the same, such as Bible has Basically Four Books, and there is definitely difference when we read them. The Original Bible is no doubt a very sacred book, as it is Book of God Almighty. But If i ask you What is the Main Bible, confusion will surround your heart. You will have to believe according to your faith and understanding. But in Al Quran there is no such thing. All Muslims agree that this is the only and the Legitimate Book blessed to the Last Prophet Peace Be Upon Him. Which not only confirms its own genuineness, it also confirms that there were books which were blessed to the Holy Prophets Before Hazrat Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, but time after time there were changes in the same book. There is a certain reason behind it. For Hazrat Muhammad Peace Upon Him, The God Almighty Said, This Al Quran is the last message, it is the complete message and It is very well Guarded by the Almighty Itself. Islam is the religion of peace. It is the basics of the message that peace should be to all. One should not compare it by watching humans how theybehave. But by Watching message what does it convey the meanings. For this one has to read the Al Quran. The More we understand Islam the more we understand true Muslims.
When was the religion Islam first introduced?

How do angels affect the lives of Muslims?
It is obligatory, and in fact an essential part of faith to respect all of the Angels. Therefore, it is unthinkable for Muslims to have any animosity towards any of the Angels, let alone cursing them. Any such action is considered an act of Kaffir (disbelief).
However, we should not try to guess the nature or form of angels. Certainly, there is no basis in Islam. We should also be careful that our children don't grow up with an incorrect concept of angels.
Angels thus teach us the benefits of specialization. So, in the Islamic society, some members must specialize in the Qur'an and its sciences, others in medicine, still others in agriculture and so on and so forth, so that the Muslim community becomes efficient and well balanced.
Muslim beliefs require us to believe in the angels in Islam. One who denies the angels does not have true faith.
Backwater/Afflux the effect of obstructions within a flow, such a bridge piers. This obstruction causes an increase in the depth of water on the downstream side of the obstruction. Due to the expression:
Q = A1V1= A2V2
where: Q is flowrate m3/s
A = cross-section area of flow channel/river
V = Velocity
1 = Point in channel before piers (should be subscript)
2 = Point in channel between piers (should be subscript)
Flowrate is assumed to be constant and velocity assumed constant due to high volume and momentum. If they are assumed constant then the two volumes A1 and A2 must be equal. If the area between piers reduces (ie Channel width reduces due to obstructions) then for continuity of the above equation the depth must increase.
Backwater length also refers the distance from the obstruction (eg: bridge piers) to the point where pier induced disturbances return to normal flow conditions.
I must also state that backwater can refer to lagoons and creeks and stuff.
