What you have is JC Higgins model 10 6 shot bolt action repeating shotgun made in 1948 these are excellent guns but old fashioned and some what common they have limited value abought 50 to 100 bucks. But they are still great shotguns and better made than a lot of the new stuff ,and its in great gauge lot of differant loads available and cheap to shoot great old gun enjoy it its all the gun you will ever really need

I have no idea, but I also have a 16 gauge bolt action shotgun that needs a clip so if you find a place to look please let me know. The H&R Gamester boltaction shotgun never used a clip. It is a tubular fed 3-shot shotgun made in 12 and 16 gauges. I have one (model 348) which is the same as the model 349 Gamester minus the adjustable choke. Numrich Arms has most parts for this shotgun. You can purchase the magazine parts you need to make it a repeater.

it is actually a mauser rifle. the mauser action is one of the most popular and strongest out there even today. most "shooters" will cost around 100.00 to 150.00 depending on your area. they are popular with the custom guys so they can build a custom rifle around the action.

The JC HIGGINS MODEL 583.13 was made by High Standard as its model 10. They have only shooter value (no collector interest). But be careful. Many of the Sears High Standard bolt action shotguns were recalled for safety considerations in the late 1990's. The Early models of this gun of wich 583 13 is part of was actually made by H&R (Harrington & Richardson ) for High Standard . Sears owned all of High Standards Rifle and shotgun production in thouse days . and had bought the rights to the old H&R gun on wich your gun was based as part of the Deal H&R made all of the early models for Sears /high Standard 583 1 to 583 13 the safety issue involves the bolt stop screw .just make sure that the screw is present and in good condition . This screw holds the bolt in the shotgun when cycleing the action between shot s If it is not present the bolt will come out when you open it and pull the bolt bac THis bolt has absolutely nothing to do with bolt lockup these guns have a very positive lockup and are quite strong sears will give a 50 buck gift certificate for the bolt on these guns However the bolt alone will easily fetch 60 to 100 bucks that what i pay for them However the 12 gauge guns are getting scarce Because of The sears recall and these guns are starting to go up in price 1 make sure that the bolt stop screw is in good shape and keep it it is going to increase in value cotrary to the recall these guns are very safe and very good shotguns it should bring at least 100 bucks or more and certainly worth more than 50 dollars of Sears Funny money remember 50 dollar Sears gift card is about equal to a 100 dollar walmart gift card The Sears recall is as valid as a liberal gun byback

The shotgun has been recalled because of problems with the bolt. * 583 20 was made in 1952 the 12 gauge guns are in demand . in good condition and complete in shoot able condition it is worth about 100 to 150 dollars depending who wants it . A bogus recall by sears ruined many of these guns . I have several and they are one of the best bolt action shotguns ever made. The 583 20 series was built by High Standard Manufacturing which was partially owned by sears at that time. Sears will still give you a fifty dollar gift certificate for the bolt . The bolt alone is worth 75 dollars . I have been a gunsmith for over 35 years, and all I can say I have fired thousands of rounds through these guns . Personally know several old timers that still use them ,and the have for over 50 years .They have had no problems with them and swear by them. You own a true classic which is a very safe and very reliable shot gun.

There's a whole string of Sears 300's with different Sears ID numbers, but they are all the same Winchester Model 1400.

The value depends on the model. Model 50= FN mauser, $400. Model 51 and 51L = Husqvarna, $700. Model 52= Pre-72 Sako, $1000. Model 54=Bowning(FN Mauser)= $600. These are all top prices for a rifle if Fine condition. There are always Rifles in pristine condition that can go for even higher. Most of the time the rifles have seen extensive use and prices should be adjusted according. If you have one I would hang on for dear life cause prices keep going up. The Models 50 and 51 were manufactured by High Standard using the FN Mauser action and the 51-L was made by High Standard using the HVA action. All appeared in two or more variations per caliber. Teh Model 52 was made by High Stadnard using a Sake action and was nto available in .30-06 . These are all fine rifles.made between about 1950 and 1963.

Try Numrich Arms. They go by gunpartscorp.com. They have some parts, some are unavailable or expensive for this low value shotgun.

please refer to the answer about the model 30 for the probable history of your weapon. as to value, the stock answer is what you paid for it and what you can sell it for is it's value. otherwise they most often sell for around $120.00 to $150.00 depending on condition. an important factor is the original scope by Higgins, the 4x Rifleman, and if the internal sling is there and operational. the rest is of course, finish and wear. good luck bc

All of the "Cactus Carbines" were made for Sears by Daisy. Any reputable Daisy repairman can fix you up.

I am going to assume that you have made a slight error in the model number. I think the model number you are referring to is 101.7. In 16 ga. I have seen this shotgun offered at $220 as a JC Higgins and up to $395 as a Stevens Model 311.

It has only shooter's value. There is no real collector interest.

This is actually the Stevens 39A/59A, a bolt action utility shotgun generally valued at $125 in excellent condition. You might get $150 to $200 because of the box.

S/N 3918617 is an M1903A3 rifle. The receiver should read: U.S. Remington Model 03-A3 3918617 The M1903A3 rifles were a simplified version of the earlier M1903 rifle primarily made by Springfield Armory and Rock Island Arsenal. Many of the metal parts were changed from milled to stamped to speed up production, and the complicated rear leaf sight on the front of the receiver was changed to a simpler, easier to use peep sight mounted on the rear of the receiver. Remington produced these rifles from late 1942 up until February or so of 1944. Your particular rifle would have been made in September of 1943. Value is impossible to determine accurately without good clear pictures of the rifle at the very least. There are a number of factors which would drive this - whether the rifle has been modified from its military configuration (i.e. 'sporterized'), whether the rifle has its original Remington parts, whether the rifle has been refinished, etc. An unmolested, original finish Remington M1903A3 in good condition will be worth around $750-900. A badly-sporterized M1903A3 in fair to poor condition might be worth $100, assuming you can even find anyone interested in it.

The Higgins 101.1 was made by Savage as a Model 94. It's only value is as a shooter.

Generally, you can't. If you can identify the model, you can determine the years in which it was manufactured, and sometimes narrow that down by variations in the model's specifications.

i have a ranger also and i have never seen another. i know this one is only about 20 yrs old . i gave hardly nothing for it. i also would like more info. private labeled sears revolver were made by High Standard and were last sold by Sears in 1963 Sold from about 1959 through 1963
