I know there is one on my 97 Cherokee on a radiator hose housing just in front of the cylinder head. (there are three coolant hoses going to the housing). I have been told there is another one on the radiator but i havent found it yet.

I was also looking for another sending unit, but the service manual for a 2000 Cherokee says that same ECT sensor on the thermostat housing also drives the coolant temp gauge, thru the pcm. I think earlier models had a separate coolant temperature sending unit on the cylinder head driver side rear.

Changing the spark plugs is a relatively easy job which can be done by anybody with slight mechanical knowledge. On a Jeep with the 4.7L engine, the intake needs to be removed. The coilpacks can then be removed, and then the spark plugs can be removed and replaced with new ones. The job should take about 1-2 hours. See the related link below for detailed instructions.

The jiggle valve's a small hole on the thermostat itself (not a separate part). It's merely there to help free the system of trapped air. Follow the hose from the top of the radiator to the motor and you should find the thermostat housing. Removing the housing will reveal the thermostat and at the top of the Tstat should be a small hole -- that would be the jiggle valve (if your thermostat actually has one).

The starter is located underneath the passenger side of the vehicle and bolted to the transmission.

Follow the big red wire from the battery.

The first time, I thought it was the oil pressure sending unit, so I replaced it. New sending unit was still reading 80 psi (maxed out). Last night, the engine ground to a halt, despite good maintenance with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. I think the high pressure indicates blockage in the oil system, causing oil starvation somewhere in the engine. I think mine was in the lifter area, because they kept getting louder before the engine failed. High pressure is a big problem, in my experience.

You can not. You might get lucky and find one on EBay or something or maybe at a junkyard but there is no such thing as a free lunch. I would buy an aftermarket repair manual for the Jeep. Chiltons and Haynes both make them for a very modest sum and theyre accurate and more detailed by far than the original owners manual. Libraries usually have them in their reference section and you can read them for free.
