Remove the deck from the tractor, then remove both blades. They can be sharpened using a grinder. If you don't have a grinder, then there are shops out there that can sharpen them for you (try asking at a shop that sharpens chainsaw chains).

John Deere makes there own mowers. That's why they're pretty much the best mowers left that money can buy, every other brand is garbage for the most part. Half the brands you could name off the top of your head are made by MTD these days. Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, Bolens, Yard-Man.

First, check the operatorpresenceswitch located under the seat. Check and see if the wire are broken or that the switch is working. If this switch is broken the circuit to the deck will be tripped once the pto is trying to be engaged. If that doesn't work, next check and see if you have a battery that is strong enough to keep the electromagnet working.

Ebay or Kijiji may be the best site to find a John Deere backhoe especially if it is wanted used. For brand new the official Deere website or equipment located would be the best bet.

Your hydraulic fluid level is low, your hyd. pump is weak, your hyd. filter needs replacing, there is a spring release that is activated by hydraulic pressure under the machine, above the transaxle, if it does not receive enough hydrulic pressure, it will not release completely..

it might be underneath the engine. it is completely enclosed be a cover that has a nut on the bottom of it. its about 2.5 feet from the oil tank.

As it is made from the factory, you must remove the deck. Remove the four nuts that hold the belt guards on, unclip the four fasteners. Remove the two nuts on the top of the deck toward the front, that hold the bracket for the gearbox. Loosen the two at the back lower side of the bracket. Raise the bracket up enough to get the belt out.

To install just go in reverse. One thing to remember is after the belt is on, to set the

small lower isolator that slides out to the tension pulley. This keeps the idler pulley from backing off enough to let the belt come off the pulleys, when the PTO stops suddenly.

ALSO, if the belt comes off, the deck has to be removed to just put the belt back on the pulleys. I took my belt guards off and cut the slots out to the end so the cover it can be removed from above. Now to change, i lower the deck, unlatch the linkage, loosen the

four nuts remove the guards. Put the belt back on, without removing the deck!!!

For round fender 110. To remove \ replace drive belt that has slipped off. Remove 2 of the 3 bolts from large pulley on transmission right side. This will allow enough access to slip belt onto pulley. Replace bolts.
