The alternator is on the passenger side of the car on the back side of the engine.
Yes, very, very, quickly. The Starter Motor has a very high operating current, that will drain even the heaviest duty battery, fairly quickly, if an engine fails to start.
1-3-4-2. (2004 Kia Rio Manual, current for A3D and A5D engines.)
Check the "rack and pinion" assembly. You probably have a bad internal seal.
== You have a bypass on one of the teflon rings on the spool valve inside the rack. The housing could have a groove worn into it where it's by passing. You have a fault on your spool valve. www.powerbrakeandsteering.co.za
pull up back seat. there will be an access panel under it. there is your fuel pump plain as day.
thedesigners of Kiagot smart and started putting in access panels to get to the fuel pump.
There is a recall on some part of the gas fueling area... I forget the exact name, but if you put too much gas into it (at least the 1998 model) the gas will spew back out. I never turned my Kia in for the recall, so I got around this by not overfilling the tank.
The 2003 Kia Rio is equipped with the 4-speed F4EL automatic transmission in both engine options. The 2003 Rio can be used with SPIV and downwards specified automatic transmission fluid. The factory Kia fluid for this application is part# UM090-CH042 Type 4 SPIV which are 1-quart bottles.
a kia Rio 04 takes approx 3.3 litres if you are changing oil and filter.
timing belt, out of fuel, fuel pump failure, loss of fire.
I don't believe it can be adjusted manually. Its controlled by the computer.
Remove the pastic dome light cover and there are some small screws that need to be removed and the whole unit will be in you hand.
I think a "top overhaul" will do. They will just change a gasket which prevents the oil from leaking into the water.
First, there is no need to remove the light's housing from the rear door. On either side of the housing there are plastic clips that look like two circles, one inside the other. Take a screwdriver (or punch or anything like that) and push in inner circle of the clip. Is will sink in about a quarter of an inch and loosen the clip. Use your fingernails to pull out the clips. With the clips removed the rear housing will pull straight off. Remove the housing then remove and replace the bulb. To reinstall the housing make sure the center of the clips are pulled out about a quarter of an inch, reinstall the clips into the housing and push the center part in until it is flush with the rest of the clip. This will lock the housing in place.
Probably similar to most vehicles
Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from radiator
Remove housing at engine end of upper radiator hose
Note how thermostat is installed
Clean both surfaces
Replace thermostat and gasket
Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an air lock
Start engine and look for leaks
Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on
Re-check coolant level
Possibly, you have a broken timing belt.
open the bonnet look too your right in between the engine and gearbox u will find a wire leading to the crank sensor held by a 10mm bolt. will require a 10mm socket 3/8 swiffel joint and ratchet. please recommend me if u find it im only helping
I think you mean 1.5 Liter.Im changing my timing belt and the marks are very visible. If you have the covers off you should be able to spot the notches on both the in and ex cam sprockets and theres a "v" mark on the plate behind them.Theres also a mark on the crankshaft sprocket, that you line up with a mark on the block.
This is a very easy job. First empty everything out of your grove box. Next using your finger or a flat blade screw driver pop out the tabs on either end of the glove box. When that is done the glove box can be puller down on its hinge and the filter will be revealed. Be certain that you put the filter in with the air flow going in the right direction. (see arrows) Also make certain that the filter is fully seated in the base that it sits in and even all around. Flip back glove box. Push in tabs and put you junk back in the glove box.
The slot is just dead space. You can place your gum or cigs there. Also, if wanted, you can remove the radio and that slot allows you to use a bigger radio. ie. Nav sytem or CD change types.
It's your low air pressure warning light, check your tires pressure.
