Which is better Kindle or Kindle touch?
I'm not going to be really scientific her, but a Kindle touch has only two buttons, one on the bottom to turn on/off, and one in the center of the bottom surrounding plastic. Meanwhile, regular Kindles have either 4 buttons, one on bottom to turn on/off, one in center of the bottom plastic, and 2 right beside that center button so you can scroll pages, etc. Other versions of the Kindle (and Nook) have keyboards that take up about 3 inches of the bottom plastic (this causes the screen to be smaller) that have numbers and letters on it. I recommend the Kindle touch because it is more convenient and is only about $30-40 more.

How do you read your e-books on your kindle?
(Note: I have the Kindle2, not K3)
Technically there's no scroll on the Kindle. if you're visiting a large web page or reading a book in PDF format (and the page is larger than your screen), the Kindle treats these areas as different pages. So to go on to the next section of the page just press "Next Page".
You may want to rotate the screen to get more width.
No, the Kindle Fire doesn't read to you. You may want to get one of the regular Kindle for that. Also, if your main purpose is reading, the e-Ink screen of the Kindle Touch works much better than the LCD screen of the Fire; it won't bother your eyes, over time, as the back-light LCD screen will do.
