As with most things, I think most people suggest that moderation rather than abuse is a good rule. Anything (including air and water) taken in excess can harm - but that doesn't mean you should stop breathing or drinking water. The key word is "excess".

Unlike breathing or drinking water, if you don't want to drink alcohol, that's fine of course. If you do, and there are no medical reasons why you shouldn't drink (such as medications you may be taking - in which case definitely consult your doctor first), then don't get roaring drunk, but (say) a glass at night should be perfectly fine. Both my wife and sister swear that a glass of fizz every night helped with their producing milk. Personally I'm not sure that it was anything specific to do with champagne but more that it helped to relax them during a period that at times could be very stressful and, a relaxed mum is a good thing (for everyone, as well as probably for milk production)!

So - in short - if in doubt talk to your doctor but otherwise go for it. Just get a champagne stopper, and get the good stuff! ;-)

One of the "side benefits" of breast feeding is that the nursing mother will see her breasts grow by one or two cup sizes. Short of surgery, breast feeding is the only means available where a woman can have real growth in her breasts. Of course, the down side is that the size increase derived from breast feeding will go away once breast feeding is stopped. So, nurse long and hard and enjoy your new found cleavage!

Our culture looks down on women nursing their babies much past 12 months old. This is a sign of ignorance and immaturity on the part of our culture. It is traditional across all cultures to nurse well into the child being a toddler. It is my recomendation that women change the backwardness of our culture by caring for their children through breast feeding them for 3 to 4 years.

who told you to do that? not a dr or nurse i am sure. in later months of pregnancy is you squeeze your nipples, milk will come out, but not before you have even missed your firs period. just take a pregnancy test.
