Where to fill transmission fluid in a 2000 Land Rover?

There is oil fill/ level plug on the front of transmission pan. Remove plug and check fluid level. Transmission must be at ambient temperature (just slightly warm to to the touch). Start vehicle, place foot on brake and run transmission selector through all gears. Leave engine idling fill transmission using fill hole until fluid runs back out hole. Must me done on level surface and takes a little creativity to come up with a pump to fill fluid with. Really best left for dealer to do. If you can afford a Land Rover you can afford to take it to the dealer!

Or if you can afford one (I paid cash for mine) and you don't have a lazy attitude you can fix it your self and stay rich by performing simple routine maintenance on your own vehicle!

I don't find it to be rocket science!

Why would I drive 102 miles to the dealership and pay them $200.to do what only takes 15 minutes to do and I know it was done right sounds like I made money.

Land rover discovery Remote keylock not working after car battery change. Dealer says nothing I can do. Any help?

You might try re-programing your remote. If the dealer already did this, you may have to: Check the battery in the remote, it may be weak or dead. Readily available locally. Isolate and test the Drivers door lock micro-switch. Otherwise it may be in the Alarm unit itself. All are available New and Used on-line from places like: Motorcars LTD and landroversalvage.ca for a lot less than the dealer cost. Do the simple inexpensive things first as the dealer will hit you hard in the wallet for these things.

Why landrover discovery diff lock has nutral?

The neutral position in the Land Rover Discovery's differential lock system allows the vehicle to disengage the drive from the wheels while keeping the transfer case in a locked state. This feature is useful for situations where the vehicle needs to be towed or moved without engaging the drivetrain, preventing potential damage to the transmission and drivetrain components. It also aids in safely maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces or during maintenance without the risk of moving inadvertently.
