1) Disconnect the battery.
2) Disconnect the wiring connector from the MAF sensor.
3) Loosen the air cleaner outlet tube clamp.
4) Release the air cleaner cover clips and remove cover.
5) Remove the bolts and the MAF sensor.
6) Re-installation or replacement of the MAF sensor requires a new gasket.

Unplug battery for 30 minutes then plug back on that will reset the ecm

Drive and hit a brick wall, the airbag will deploy. Then remove it.

I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows ( Motorcraft

MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) is used in the engine cooling fan fluid

Thank you for looking I fixed the problem after I posted the question. Took needle nose pliers and forced the cable on the lock lever to the lock position and heard a click, presto problem fixed. It is located on the left (drivers) side of the engine near the back. It is located on the engine side of the head. You may have to move the throttle cables to get to it and I believe that the bolt holding it is a 8mm. Removing the bolt is not fun and will take some time and patience (small hands will help). Before removing the sensor you need to remove the uppermost cam bolt. If not it will prevent you from removing the sensor or possible damaging the new one. The bolt slightly penetrates the hole for the sensor. Take special care disconnecting the old sensor from the harness as this can prove difficult, they don't give you much to work with and the wires will pull out of the plug (I know).

It is your heat shield making the rattling , you can go to lube xpress are anywhere with a lift. They can take that off easily for you. Another rattling problem: My 2000 Ls sounded as if the front end was falling off when I hit small potholes or while driving on rough surfaces. I found that the front anti sway bar bushing was worn allowing movement. It wasn't noticeable by hand. The bushing are not available for replacement they come as part of the sway bar itself. I purchased one at a local Ford dealer for $125.00 It took 6 hours for me to replace it and had to pull it out from the drive side wheel well. It was very cumbersome to do but it eliminated the rattling completely.

as far as i know if you did not have one installed there wont be one, but if there was one the plug is usually placed where you can get at it from the front through the grille so you dont have to open the hood.

The button should be DOWN , if the button has popped up on the switch the

switch is tripped and no power is going to the electric fuel pump

I recently replaced my upper and lower ball joints on 02 Ls, it was about $360 in parts but most of that was overnight shipping. I'm sure you can find them cheaper online. Beware don't buy the steering knuckles save your money and buy the ball joints alone. The only thing is you have to find a shop to press the ball joints out as well as the bearing which usually can run $50-80.

You can recharge your 2004 Lincoln LS from the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on the top of the air conditioning compressor.

I fixed mine by purchasing some small springs at Home Depot (they come in a variety pack of sizes). I simply attached a suitable one to the rear of the ashtray (no glue, just hook it over the back edge of the ashtray) and it will work fine.

You can purchase just the lower ball joints for around 100.00 on ebay. Several companies have just started making these. Due to the dealer charging 400.00 per control arm. Go to Ebay Motors and type in Lincoln LS lower ball joints, you will get a handful of sellers with the phone numbers. Good luck

front of the engine compartment ( it will show what type of spark plugs to use

and the spark plug gap )
