Milky oil is a sign of moisture, if you've hit a puddle or had some high humidity it's possible some water got into the cap of your dipstick. However, if your oil on the bottom ' read ' section is the same color, or is streaked with it, you have some form of moisture getting into the system. Generally when this happens your head gasket has blown and is leaking coolant into the system. You'll notices a perceptive drop of coolant in the system.

Did it froth up like a milkshake? If so flush with gas and simple green and disconnect all lines and hoses remove the milkshake or for more technical support call 1 845 240 5879

I have experienced few reasons:

1. Bad thermostat.

2. Bad solenoid controlling flow of hydraulic fluid through the fan mechanism (or pump if it matters)... if your mechanic will be smart enough it will cost you around $300 to change the solenoid instead of changing almost whole assembly, which is around $600+ parts only...

3. Improperly bled cooling system...

4. If your car overheated and now is running hot and weak, have the ECM reflashed and calibrated... of course after removing cause of overheating... in my case ECM was getting bad reading from oxygen sensors and kept heating up the engine...

Doesn't have one its a sealed transmission.

A common problem with 2002 LS's are the DCCV, (Dual Climate Control Valve). Pretty expensive, so I suggest finding someone who know's how to reset the climate control and see if that helps. Other than that, you might need to check the DCCV. Also, a no-brainer, make sure your R-134a is topped off. Hope this helps.

with the car running disconnect the negative terminal from the battery if engine dies alternator is no good

Get a manual on your car from the parts store for about $18 and it will help on the next repair.

The Saturn Ls1 that I own I have replaced the brakes twice and each time I am forced to buy the brakes frome Saturn although this car is 5 years old the parts for this 2000 Saturn LS1 are not allowed to be sold on the open market.

Lift the hood...remove the plastic cover below the windshiled on the passengers side...the AC filter simply slides out after you release the clips on either end.

you press the status button. when the oil life indication comes up, hit reset.

It may be low of lube or a bearing may be defective. Have it inspected by a professional.

It will stop working along with cruz control, voice control, and volume when the wires on the clock spring wears. The clock spring holds all the wiring going to the controls on the steering wheel and allows the steering wheel to turn without damaging the wires. The clock spring makes everthing run smoothly in terms of the wheel turning. The clock spring is located under the plastic on the TOP of the steering wheel. You will find all the wires are connected to it. It usually goes out after years of turning and wear and tear.

it is at the bottom of the Radiator on either the left or the right side...it is a plastic or metal threaded tab

It is on the left (drivers side) of the engine near the front. You can access it pretty easily from under the car and you can even get an old filter wrench (band type) on it if you have the flexible handle. If you jack the driver side of the car up about 6 inches (be sure to use a jack stand before crawling under the car) you will find both filter and drain plug easier to access. Be careful of the sensor that is just to the left of the filter as it is very close to the filter.

You have to jack the car up (level, not just one end) and remove the fill plug on the transmission tail. Ford did not intend for this to be done by the average shade-tree home mechanic.
From under the car it's best to take it to a transmission shop.

5w20 is the correct weighted oil for Lincoln ls v6

This is correct, some labels on car and filler cap says 5w30, there is a Ford TSB stating that 5w20 is correct

I'm not a mechanic / technician but check to see if the button has popped up

on the top of your fuel pump inertia switch ( fuel pump shut off switch )

In a 2004 Lincoln LS the switch is in the drivers footwell , behind the kick

panel ( there is an access hole through the kick panel )

its under the dash on the passenger side remove the cover that access the fuses iits to the far left and staight up on a black box if you cann't see all the #'s just move the wirring harnes over a little this tip will save you 80 dollars that the dealer charges.

I was just told where the PCV valve(s)are on my 2000 Lincoln LS by the Service representative of my local Ford dealer. Apparently there are two PCVs. Each is an integral part of the valve cover(s). They tell me that they cannot be replaced without replacing the complete covers. (What a bad design ?). I am finding all this all out the hard way. They tell me that both PCVs are carboned up and plugged. That in turn has created backpressure in the engine and under the valve covers. This has resulted not only in blowing the seals (gaskets?) on the valve covers, but also in filling up one of the plug wells with oil (yes, the spark plugs are under the covers on the LS), and caused a misfiring of the sparkplug. I have been experiencing this misfiring at certain engine speeds during the last few weeks. Also, there has been a faint smell of oil fumes coming from the engine recently. The repair is going to consist of 2 new Covers (c/w PCV valves), new spark plugs, and at least one sparkplug coil. Estimated Cost of repair : $1,100 !! Anyone have any comments ?
