When the pigment cells change, the chameleon's skin color changes. Many think chameleon's change color to blend in with their surroundings, but scientific studies show that light, temperature, and mood cause them to change, making them more comfortable, or helping them to communicate with one another.

Exotic lizards would be permitted, but they would have to pass through customs first. Australia has strict quarantine laws, and a chameleon, which is not native to the country, would have to be kept safely elsewhere for several months, to ensure it was not carrying any diseases.

The answer would vary depending on the type of lizard. Some species are protected, which would result in a felony charge. Other species contain poisons that could result in sickness or death. If it is just a plain garden variety lizard, you nasty up your milk.

Chameleons arn't cats or dogs. You can't exactly play with them although all chameleons have their own special personalities. If you have a chameleon you are thinking of, try to find out if it likes its crest rubbed lightly or if it likes to be held. Some chameleons will like to be wrapped up in a blanket and cuddled with, just make sure that they don't get hurt. It might be fun to create an obsticle corse for your chameleon to climb over, as they are very skilled climbers and need to get excersize. You can also expirament with what types of foods your chameleon likes, just be sure that everything is organic and washed and in small enough pieces so they won't chock. Be sure to print out a list of foods chameleons can and can't eat. Most of all, make sure that the chameleon has proper care and housing. Take your chameleon to the vet if anything goes wrong, and remember that they are very fragile creature and prone to breaking ribs.

You can "candle" them. Hold the egg in front of a light bulb and look for the yolk. It will be in one end or the other. If that's all you see, it is not fertile. If there is more dark area in the egg than just the end, it probably is fertile. It takes a while for the chick to develop, so let them sit for a while before you do this.

sorry, i don't know,i myself live in laredo,tx byt haven't seen any but my grandfather would when he lived here about 20 yrs ago.though he said where he thinks they might live,he thinks that in international in laredo hope i helpe though but dont get mad if i didnt help im only 11yrs old
