How can you get rid of dry skin on your dog?

If you go into the boots chemist and go by the foot stuff there is a thing called a chiropodist sponge it looks like a black rock with little holes in it.It's about £2.50 or £2.75 or something like that. Soak your feet for 5 or more minutes in the bath or foot spa or something .Take your sponge and move it in a circular motion around the dry skin or cracked feet. This product is brilliant even my 52 year old mother uses it and her feet are really bad forget all the ped eggs and thins like that because this is neat and actually works.

Can you use clindamycin lotion in the sun?

You can eat whatever you want while taking clindamycin. Keep in mind that typical side effects of all antibiotics include stomach upset and diarrhea. I'd avoid overly spicy or greasy food to keep the stomach irritation to a minimum. Remember to take all of your clindamycin even once you start feeling better. You want to kill all the bacteria and not leave any hiding in your body!

How do you make pharmaceutical ointment?

Ointments are made through three methods:

  • Fusion Method:
    • Used to combine components of different consistencies, some are hard and some are soft, all the components are fatty compounds.
    • Some or all of the ointment components are combined together by melting, mixing, then continuously stirring them until congealing.
    • If the medicament is a soluble solid, it is added to the warm base after melting and then is stirred till a homogenous solution is obtained. If it is insoluble, it is stirred with a sufficient amount of a levigating agent of similar nature to the base, then added to the mixture and stirring till obtaining a homogenous solution.
  • Trituration Method:
    • Used to combine components of similar consistencies, all the base components are soft and fatty.
    • All the ointment components are mixed on cold till a uniform mixture is obtained.
    • If the medicament is insoluble in the base, then it is added in the same way it is added in the fusion method of ointment preparation
  • Emulsification Method:
    • Used when some of the ointment components are of aqueous nature and others are of fatty nature, sometimes the medicament as well is soluble in water.
    • All the fatty compounds are added and melted together, stirred till a uniform mixture is obtained.
    • All the water soluble compounds are dissolved in water (sometimes including the drug itself), then the solution is heated roughly to the same temperature as the hot fatty mixture or higher.
    • Then the two portions are mixed and stirred vigorously till the product sets.
N.B: If the aqueous liquid is added while its cold, it will cause rapid congealing before emulsification takes places and the product formed will be lumpy.

Is relaxing hair regularly good?

How often you relax your hair really depends on how coarse your hair is. The typical time frame is every 6-8 weeks. Some people may have more new growth before then, while others will barely have any at all. So if you tend to see a lot of new growth around week 5 or 6, then your time frame may be every 5 weeks. I usually try to stretch mine in order to minimize breakage on the hair. I try to go for 7 weeks and I have very course "bra strap" length hair, lol (mid back length). I make sure to tie it down every night with a satin scarf, I dont wear tight pony tails since any pulling or stress on the hair can break it off where the new growth meets the relaxed hair and I make sure to moisturize the area where the new growth meets the relaxed hair often. I also moisturize the ends of my hair every other day too.

If you tie your hair down everynight, there is no need to pull it tight into a pony tail just moisturize the edges, and smooth them into a loose pony tail, chignon bun or just slap a headband on it and wear it straight down your back. You can roll it at night for pretty thick curls, but do not brush the hair as that will also cause the hair to break when you have not had a relaxer in a while.

Hope this helps

What is baby lotion?

Yes, you can . Baby lotion is gentle, light and quickly absorbed. However, this may be insufficient if you have dry skin or your skin is in an environment which is drying. Also, baby lotion contains no sun protection so you may need to apply additional sun screen on top. So while you can use baby lotion on your face, it might be insufficient for the exposure that our skin undergoes.
