It depends on the Main Coon. A few probably do like to swim, but they are not known for their love of water. The Turkish Van is the cat known for it's love of water. It is nicknamed the "swimming cat" In general Main Coons don't like water, but I bet that some do, swimming isn't what Main Coons are known for.
