edit 9/11/12: It depends on the "real man" under consideration. If he's a "real man" who is afraid of what strangers might think - if his "real manhood" is defined as cowering timidly in the center of the herd, doing whatever the herd says is OK, afraid of making up his own mind or standing out or defying the herd, desperately hoping that his submission to its rules will earn him the herd's affirmation of his masculinity - if his "real manhood" is threatened by a few drops of paint - then THAT "real man" CANT paint his nails, he MUST get a tattoo instead.
OTOH, if another "real man" is confident in himself and in his own definition of his masculinity, and bold enough to face the derision of prejudiced strangers, if he's smart enough to recognize that there is no REAL connection between paint, and his gender or orientation, if he refuses to submit ownership of his body to the whims of the herd - AND if he likes how the paint looks on him - then sure, a real man can paint his nails!

I am looking for a nail acrylic that i can use i am allergic to regular acrylic solutions.?
Sometimes people do not actually have an allergy but have had chemical burn from improper application. When the skin around the nail is scratched by the file or electric file band and chemicals including primer and acrylic liquid is painted onto the skin, even skin that has not been scratched, it is not unusual for burning and blisters to result.
Swelling, blisters and worse, swelling that results in the finger nail lifting from the nail bed are serious and whether they are the result of chemical burn or allergy, you are best off to not use any acrylic product again. Ever. Even nail gel, from the same chemical family, can result in further reaction.
Many people who have had a reaction (true allergy is not really common, in my 22 years of doing nails I've seen 3) do very well with wrap nails. The cyanoacrylates (adhesives) used rarely cause reactions (though like acrylic and gels can cause problems if applied to the skin, and worse to irritated skin). Wrap systems are not as sturdy as acrylics but can get you good results.
Better safe than sorry.
Stay away from acrylic in the future and find a manicurist who knows her materials.
What does the brand of nail polish OPI stand for?
It stands for Ohmygod Poo Inside. Not really very exciting, is it? haha >.>
actually this is the correct information. And sadly not very exciting lol.
What does O.P.I. stand for?
"Other People's Ideas . . . I'm just kidding," said Schaeffer. It is "Odontorium Products, Inc." In the early 1980s, my father took over a dental supply business from my grandfather's cousin. He formulated an acrylic nail product from that background and started out supplying to nail salons on Ventura Boulevard (Los Angeles).
the easiest way to take off acrylics is to soak them in an ACETONE nail polish remover and them use a cuticle stick to lightly pry them off. It will take awhile for them to get soft
-What I do is dip a cotton ball in Acetone, set it on top of my nail, and wrap it in tin foil for about 45 minutes to an hour. After that I take off the foil and the acrylic is usually pretty simple to take off. or just pick them off haha
