Galactus is a member of the Marvel roster. He is arguably the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe. Although he does not appear often, when he does, much is revealed about him.

One obvious fact about Galactus is that he is extremely large, both in height and the mass of his body. He could easily dwarf the Empire State Building.

Galactus is also quite intelligent, being many thousands of years old. His knowledge far exceeds even that ofthe gods of Olympus and Asgard. His willpower, too, is great, being comperable to the will of the Guardians from the DC Universe.

As anyone could guess, with such size, comes immense strength, so much so, in fact, that when at full power, Galactus could plausibly crush Mjolnir, Thor's legendary hammer, with one hand. However, he is usually not at fully power, being weakened by his constant hunger.

To feed himself, Galactus consumes planets, or, more correctly, their energy. In order to do this, he invades the chosen planet with his army of followers, and has them erect the machinery that drains the planet's energy. His medium, the Silver Surfer, acted as a scout, choosing a planet for his former master (The Silver Surfer is now a resident of Earth and occasionally aids the Fantastic Four).

Despite his actions, Galactus is not a villain. His motive for devouring planets is survival, rather than conquest, genocide, or other classic villainous intentions. He would actually die if he ceased the do so.

Conan comics have been published by Marvel & Dark Horse, but Conan was not a Marvel character. Conan was created in the 1930's by a writer from Cross Plains, Texas named Robert Ervin Howard. Howard wrote Conan stories for a magazine called Weird Tales. Weird Tales was not a comic book, rather it was a magazine of short stories. It wasn't until the 1970's that Marvel decided to publish comics starring Robert E. Howard's creation, Conan.

UPC comics are distributed to placed such as newstands and bookstore, and are usually returnable if they don't sell. The collectability of either but the UPC is a moot point in the spectator market game.

The government and public of America called for a Super Human Registration Act (SHRA) after too many accidents occured caused by untrained heroes (see Stamford School incident). The SHRA called for all people with powers to register and thereby allow their identity to be known. Marvel's heroes were split down the middle regarding this decision, and because it became law, it soon escalated into war with Iron Man leading the pro-registration forces against Captain America on the other side.
