dougie poynter plays bass guitar and a sort of backing singer but does a couple of songs as a lead singer. But mostly he's just there to look pretty like a nice ornament on a shelf. Dougie is the bass player and vocals, more of a backing vocals but he sings more nowadays

I will not recommend this tour for any NRIs. This tour is structured for people who can't speak anything other than Hindi or eat anything other than Indian food and want to go along with someone like a slave than this tour will work. The hotels, time give at each location for sight seeing both were very intolerable for us. We hardly had 2 hours of sight seeing but with 8-10 hours of bus travel with 2.30 hours of bath room time each day.

The hotel's selection was very poor. Most of the time, the tour was in Bus because SOTC tried to cover 4 days in Italy ( since Italy is cheapest in Europe). The trip to Fribourg was a waste cause SOTC only wanted to cover this city so that Dinner can be arranged from their own hotel in Engleburg. The stay in Switzerland was also lengthy becasue they have their own hotel in Engleburg (crappy and smelly rooms). The visit to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland was an eyewash (cover in 2 days only).

I would not suggest this tour particulary in Summers cause none of the hotels had air-conditioning and only 1 hotel offered us table fans in the room.

Of course the travel companies try to keep their cost as low as possible but that doesn't mean always compromising with the quality.If so then it will keep the people away. I had a tour with them in this summer. It was quite enthralling.They kept us in Italy for 3 days and also 3 days and 3 nights in Engelberg in their own hotel. The view from the Hotel is beautiful! You can see the Mt. Titlis very near. Two days in low countries. Germany and Austria were rather short. Don't be grumpy 'bout everything. Only one thing that I hate is FOOD. Alawas the same food,same taste. We are NRIs and all the fellow travellers were also NRIs mostly from the US. Eating the same Indian menu for full 14 days!!!. SOTC should immediately think of some variety particularly introducing the local cuisines will be a great idea!!!
