There is also a non-free solution, apperently, something called CrossOver games, but I'm sorry, I don't know anything about that.

If you really have to have 100% compatability, I'm afraid you'll have to look into dual booting.

You accidentally created a shortcut to the image, without actually copying the image to your desktop. The image may have since been moved, which renders the shortcut broken, as you have changed the 'pathway' to the image.
