How can I treat symptoms of menopause?
There are many different treatments available; however, it's important to know that the treatment is actually for the symptoms, not menopause itself.
The Mayo Clinic lists several different possible treatments to help relieve the symptoms of Menopause (I've listed the link below). Their list includes various Estrogen treatments, hormone therapy, anti-depressants and other options.
Doing your research is great, but remember that nothing replaces the advice of a doctor.
Women go through through menopause when their body runs out of eggs to fertilize, and their periods cease. Since everybody has their own biological clock, it happens to different women at different stages of their life. Usually women go through menopause in their 50s-60s, but there are many exeptions to that.
P.S. 'Menopause' is not a verb.

there isn't any medicine that can cure a black mold infection, the only thing that will work is locating the source of the infection and clean it up, without any chemicals or toxics.
best thing to do is to get the one that is sick out of the house where the mold grows and take him somewhere else.
you have to know this, if you do not act when a person get's sick, do not clean clean the place up, then the person that's sick will get a brain infection after a while and eventually die.
Here is a list of symptoms of black mold infection:

* Nausea, sickness
* Dizziness

* Respiratory trouble, wheezing - condition might turn serious for asthma patients
* Skin rashes
* Fever
* Indigestion, gastrointestinal disorder - toxic black mold poisoning often lead to diarrhea
Can a woman who is in menopause still have hot flashes..I thought this was a pre-menopausal symptom?
There has been some misunderstanding about this topic. Technically, Vaso-motor Symptoms (VMS), commonly known as "hot flashes" is a symptom of primary estrogen failure--in other words, active menopause. Estrogen is unique among the 17-keto steroids (estrogen, progesterone and testotsterone, among a few others) in that symptoms of estrogen deficiency are evoked in **minutes**. For example, a woman who just had a complete hysterectomy (including ovaries) must leave the recovery room wearing an estrogen patch or she will go in to menopausal hot flashes before she even gets back to her room. It happens right away. That is why women get the sudden off-and-on onset of sweats and hot flashes as the ovaries go through their "death throes." Sustained bouts of ovarian failure in this fashion, along with elevated FSH and LH (as the pituitary tries to flog more estrogen out of the failing ovaries) is what signals actual menopause. Eventually, the woman's body re establishes homeostasis, and the body ajdusts to life without estrogen. There are therapies for that, but that is another subject. Pre-menopause on the other hand, is more poorly defined. (note: author is a pharmacist)
How do you know when you have finished with menapause?
Well the thing is with that is once you get menopause youll have it forever. in older female adult lets say 40-60 starts menopause. Its when all of your female sex oragns are shut down. No more periods.

Night sweats can be caused from simply having the heat set too high in your house, or it can also be caused by hormonal fluctuations. Some medications, especially anti-depressants can also trigger night sweats.
Should you let your son wear a bra?
Yes, if they want to wear a bra then there's no reason to stop them.
If your son wants to wear a bra then your son may actually be a girl rather than a boy and accepting them as such is important to their well-being - your son may also be otherwise queer or trans. Your son also may simply be exploring his gender and experimenting, or maybe it's just for a bit of fun. If your son is open to talking to you about it listen to why he wants to wear a bra, no reason to stop him.
How do menopause women lose weight?
NOTE: I am not affiliated with "Weight Watchers" but have gone to them to lose weight for several years (just to get a kick-start every so often.) I've been there and done that. Other than the fact your hormones have changed (are still changing) you treat your body with weight issues just as you would if you weren't in menopause. It's true that women carry a layer of fat under their skin (men don't) but you can lose that weight.
Go to "Weight Watchers" as it's more about learning to eat right than a diet (you can eat almost anything and it doesn't disrupt your life.) Other diets (such as fasting or grapefruit diets, etc. are dangerous to your health.) Diet Centers where you "buy the food" is extremely costly and not realistic. YOU should be learning how to read labels on the food you buy to see what the sugar, fat and salt content is (it's not hard.) This way you can lose weight and still eat the same things your husband or children eat and you're not cooking two different meals (it's good for your husband and kids as well.)
Diets should contain low in fats, salt and sugar. Olive oil is excellent to use while cooking stir fries, etc. Poultry, fish, red meats (don't have to have red meat if you don't want too) that are lean and a woman only requires 3 1/2 ounces of protein at each meal. Lots of veggies (raw or cooked) leafy greens such as fresh spinach (NOT BAGGED), Brussels sprouts, broccoli. Yogurt, (Soy is suppose to be good, but some people are allergic to it and some people don't care for it.) 1% - 2% milk (with vitamin C supplements for good bones) butter in minimal quantities is better for you than margarine (read what's in margarine even though these brands are low in saturated fats.) Eggs, and low-fat cheese. Lots of whole grains (oatmeal and apples or applesauce has been proven to lower cholesterol). Good juices to drink are Cranberry Juice or Pomegranate juice which is high in antitoxidents and good for your kidneys and liver while low in sugars. A MUST IS 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water a day (flushes out fat and toxins in the body and keeps the kidneys and liver flushed out.)
Women don't realize that we have a lot of yeast build-up in our bodies which makes us feel bloated, can cause yeast infections and make us fat! Back-off of yeast A LITTLE AT A TIME. Instead of eating breads or buns, cakes, cookies, etc., make your sandwiches out of flat breads or have pita pockets, etc. Don't be afraid to "spice it up" instead of using too much salt or sugary things such as Ketchup (loaded with sugar.) Then introduce SOME yeast back into your body.
I AM REALLY RUSHED AND FIND IT HARD TO COME HOME AND MAKE A HEALTHY MEAL .... It isn't hard! When you make a stir-fry (lot of veggies) and bamboo shoots, and other oriental veggies (even canned) are good for you. You can make stir-fry with left-over chicken, beef, make it with prawns, shrimp. Make up enough for 2 - 3 meals and have one meal and freeze the other two (put your portion in a microwave dish or bag and freeze.) When you make a meal make it for two and freeze the second one. This cuts down on your time. Cottage cheese is good with fresh or tinned fruit (in own juices) over top, or add dill weed, chives on top. That's a quick lunch. Make healthy salads ... vegetable salads, chicken salads, seafood salads. Once you get into the swing of things you won't find it so difficult. I lost 45 lbs. and I do slip occasionally, but it doesn't take me long to get back into the swing of things.
HOW MUCH EXERCISE? You can go to a gym and work-out. Should be no less than 3 times per week. I do some weight training to tone muscles up because I'm in my 60s and of course we can lose muscle tone quickly. I go for fast walks every single day (rain or shine) with my dogs by the river for at least an hour. If I can't do the hour I will exercise at home to make up the 1/2 hour. You can go to a pool and swim, jog or fast-walk with a friend just around your neighbourhood (DON'T WEAR HEAD PHONES TO LISTEN TO MUSIC OR TALK TO SOMEONE ON YOUR CELL when jogging! You must be aware of who is around you at all times. If possible go with a friend or take your dog.
I know it sounds over-whelming, but honestly, once you learn to read labels and realize .... low fat, sugar, salt and yeast, lots of fresh fruit, veggies, 3 1/2 ounces of protein at each meal, 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water (I prefer bottled water) and that exercise you're on your way. You'll be surprised how quickly the weight melts off.
I do work from home on my computer and that's simply asking for a "big spread of the butt" so I stop, either go jogging or take my dogs for a fast walk by the river. It's invigorating, makes those chemicals in the brain start to work, you feel better, more energy and you sleep better. When people realize they have a weight problem and make an effort to do something about it and begin to see results they feel so much better about themselves. "Weight Watchers" is a wonderful way to learn to eat better because you can eat everything and still have fun with friends.
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GO OUT SOCIALIZING: You can prep yourself during the day. Have your breakfast, perhaps cottage cheese with fruit on it for lunch and if you're going for dinner, you've just saved up some free calories. You can also do what I do ... "have a piggy night" on the weekend. Rewarding yourself is no crime. Don't over-do it, but don't be afraid to go out with friends and have a few drinks and some spicy chicken wings, or that too rich dinner. Then pick up the pace from then on and stick to your diet.
HOW CAN I KEEP "ME" GOING ON A DIET? If you stick to what I've just told you then in a month I want you to take your jeans or slacks and put them up to you. You'll be amazed just how much you have lost. Keep those jeans or slacks out so when you feel you're falling behind on your good eating habits just take a look at what you've achieved by holding those pants up to you. It won't take long before your friends and family notice either. When in doubt and if you don't think 1 lb. is a lot of weight to lose then just hold up a pound of butter and that's how much fat you've lost! Be warned that you will "plateau" and stay at a certain weight for possibly a month, but don't give up and keep at it. It's just the bodies way of regulating itself. You'll start to lose the rest of the weight.
DO MEDICATIONS PUT WEIGHT ON ME? You bet! Antidepressants (SSRIs) can put weight on you as can some other medications for a health disorder one may have, but the "Weight Watchers" diet will take care of this and drinking that water! If you can try going to a Homeopathic doctor to get through your menopause and try staying away from Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It's not good for you! Short-term through rough spots (if you must) is OK, but long-term is not a good idea. HRT can cause heart attacks in women, breast cancer and blood clots. I didn't take it and did fine. I was a little cranky but exercised to get rid of it and ate right.
WHAT ABOUT THE HOT FLASHES? Even men go through "Andropause" and can have hot flashes. If you are going to have caffeine, alcohol, pop, chocolate then be prepared for a possible hot flash (it won't kill you!) Try cutting down on your caffeine (but not all at once because it can cause headaches.) When sleeping have a medium sized fan just blowing over top of you (not on you) so you feel a breeze. You will sleep much better! When jogging take water with you and you can also use a plain spray bottle with water and spray your face and arms to cool you down. If you are out and have a hot flash go into a washroom and soak a paper towel under the cold water and place it behind your neck or run the undersides of your wrists under cold water. Doesn't take long to get over the hot flash.
Do women who have had hysterectomys go through menopause?
horomonal changes No however she mayhave some of the symptoms due to changed hormone levels. Answer A radical hysterectomy will cause menopause to occur in a pre-menopausal patient. By definition, menopause is the cessation of menstruation. That it is caused by the natural decrease in hormones or by the surgical removal of the ovaries is irrelevant.
What happens to a woman's body if she does not have children?
There are two ways to look at this question... the first is WHY is she not having periods/ovulating? When a woman's weight drops too low then she will stop having periods/ovulating because she doesn't have enough body fat support the pregnancy. Also, historically if a woman is that thin it is because she is starving, and the body doesn't want to produce offspring during a time of little/no food since that will mean a larger drain on the females resources, thus she would die of starvation sooner.
Now if someone is on a birth control that is keeping her from period/ovulating then that is another story entirely. Research has shown that there is no harm to women who take their birth control straight through without 'resting' and having a period. Although it would effect the balancing cycle of the body and would likely make it take longer to get pregnant when the woman went off of the birth control.
Now, if a woman is over 16, and less than 40 years of age, not on birth control, and of a normal weight... if THAT woman has suddenly stopped having periods, then she needs to go to the doctor. Especially if it has been more than 4 months since the last period. There could be something wrong going on, and it would need to be checked out by a physician.
Women who have had hysterectomies (sp?) do longer have periods or ovulate because they don't have the body parts to do so, nor have the chemicals being made in their bodies. They go into 'menopause' at that point. Women can go into 'early menopause' but usually it doesn't happen until after the age of 40 or 50 (varies).
What makes your body feel like it's burning hot worse than hot flashes?
not sure if this is what you meant, but urinary tract infections (UTI's) and yeast infections definitely do cause buring. or if you have taken a pill called nyacin.
How can I know a woman is a virgin?
In the male...no way that I know of other than that he might be overly concerned about whether the female ia a virgin or not. In the female some, and I mean SOME girls retain their hymen until it is actually penetrated by something or some one but that is an unreliable predictor of whether or not she is a virgin. All you can do is ask and take her word for it. Besides it's such a mute point anyway. What if she is a virgin but has tossed off 100 guys. It is just foolish to go there. You like her and want to be with her or you don't.
PCOS does not cause early menopause, but it can cause missed periods. PCOS is something that is best monitored by your doctor because it can actually cause a lot of problems outside of reproductive issues. Insulin resistance, weight gain, joint pain, and depression can all be side effects of PCOS.
What is the normal blood pressure for a 65 year old man?
The normal blood pressure for a 65 year old man is 120/80 mm. Anything over 140/90 mm is considered a state of hypertension.
What age do women have menopause?
Generally 47-55 years, some earlier and some later. It is different for each woman and lasts 1-5 years.
When a woman runs out of eggs, she no longer needs to menstruate. Then menapause starts and the hormones readjust because the body no longer needs to prepare for pregnancy.
Why would you have two periods in one month?
This is most likely caused by irregular periods or a hormonal imbalance. If the bleeding was heavy flow then see your doctor as you may need birth control pills to regulate your period if this occurs again. Nothing to worry about but do see your doctor. It can also be due to your age, if you are young and just starting to have periods it can take some women several years before their periods become regular. It may or may not be anything serious.
What age should you stop taking birth control pills?
There's no definitive age for the Menopause, you are at risk of pregnancy, for as long as you're still Ovulating. Your Doctor or Gynaecologist, will be able to give you the most appropriate advice.
