this isn't really an answer but i have been on bcp for 3 years now and i recently completely missed a period. i didn't stuff up any of my pills. i went to the doctor and he recons that its normal to miss a period while on the pill....but my period still hasn't returned. if u hav'nt already i recommend taking a hpt, if it shows up negative i think it would be a good idea to consider a pap smear? sorry if this is no help.

Hormonal imbalances can be the result of many factors. While birth control does an awesome job at regulating your menstrual cycle, it cant be perfect. There is always variation. Also, on the package of your birth control, it may say "spotting may occur". If it continues, i would suggest consulting your doctor.
An i had my last period on the 20th June 2010 an I'm already a month late i took a pregnancy test an came back negative i am 21 an been with my fiance for 4 years an been doing it with out protection an never been pregnant before to him i think i might be pregnant but the tests keep coming back negative i don't know wot to do i am have stomach cramps like period pains but not bleeding an i can't understand it I'm not stressed at all just never known my body act like this before i have some pregnancy symptoms like strong sence of smell , tired , sickness , hungry more , tender breasts , Frequent urination , feet swollen , hot an cold flushes , missed period. Nothing. Sounds like your cycle isn't regular. When on the pill I often skipped the placebo pills since they are just place holders to help you start the new cycle on the right day. Take your new cycle of pills like you are suppose to as well.
How long does it take for your period to start after having a miscarriage?
I just went through a miscarrage on 2-08. Its the most horrable thing to go through. I started bleeding on the 15th of feb. light bleeding. Then it got really heavy and I had bad intense pains in my lower stomach and bleeding that last 5 to 6 days. And I was wondering the same thing your wondering when should my period start after my miscarrage? Its different for every women but i didnt get my period until march 24th of 08 and starting haveiing the miscarrage on the 15th of feb of 08. Don't freak out, especially if you are young or only just got your first period. Your menstrual system constantly changes due to the length of the months etc. as long as once you become regular it is around the same date every month you should be fine!

Nope, sorry. It won't stop it, the only way to only have a period once every three months is to either switch to Seasonal or not take your sugar pill when it comes to that time.

Well its kind of embarrassing to talk of this.. Your period can come at any time of the month because you have to have it at some point in time unless you get monthly ones. Now depending on when you got your period the previous month is important for this because if you got yer period in the beginning of the month then it should happen in the beginning of the present month.. This is probably confusing but its hard explaining.. Also the way the menstrual cycle works we dont control it comes when it wants to.... I know that one month had alreddy had my period in the beginning and i got it again at end of month going into a few days of the next month.., It didnt make sense at first UN till i realized how unpredictable it can be!
