YOU cannot use tramadol in combination with methadone. It is an opiate antagonist which if you are taking methadone can send you into instant severe withdrawl. I do not have the answer for methadone and fentanyl combination but do not use the tramadol methadone combination. If you do or have you are in for a very very scary experience. There are many pain meds you cannot mix with methadone. Take it from a life long methadone patient who has experienced what it is like to mix an opiate antagonist with methadone........Do not try it............................

Morphine sulfate is a opioid analgesic. It is used to relieve pain and is considered a narcotic. It blocks the pain sensors from the central nervous system.

Yes you can sniff them but I would not suggest it. As I was thinking about sniffing my own pills I looked for the answer here and found no answer so being the person I am I decided to sniff them and write an answer. IT DIDN'T GO SO WELL!!! As I sit here and type my eyes are running and my throat burns terribly. I regretted it immediately! It does however make them work faster but I am sure the longevity of them is going to be greatly diminished. In my opinion (first hand knowledge) it is a bad idea. At least I know I will never do it again!!! The best way to use them is to crush them up into a fine powder and put them into a small piece of tissue and swallow them. This will make them work just as quick as sniffing them and last alot longer.

PLEASE never use tissue to swallow anything! This can be very dangerous. Furthermore, do not sniff anything other than nasal medications made for that purpose. If you cannot swallow your medications prescribed for you there is an inexpensive crusher you can buy almost anywhere for $3 or $4. Please be very cautious with information on the internet as ANYONE can post ANYTHING. Praying for your safety.

I thought I would just add my experience with this so everyone knew what happens and not to do it. I heard that you could sniff these and it was a much faster method of getting benefits, so I tried it. I only got through half a pill and knew something was up. After 30 min of hell I was finally able to breathe again. It burned so bad 10 seconds after doing it I tried to snort some water to "wash it down" but nothing helped. DO NOT SNIFF METHADONE. The other thing, tissue. It is not harmful to swallow and if you are wanting the fastest way of getting the benefits of this med, that would be the way of doing it. Good luck!

methadone is just another opiate and will stay in system(urine) for 3-4 days. the only thing that will help. is to do as much aerobic exercise as possible, and drink alot of fluids. you have to do both in combination for best results. this may cut It down to 2 days.

Well it depends... If you have never taken Methadone before then it is possible you will feel a slight to moderate "high" or "buzz" or you may not even feel any high at all. 10mg of methadone is a very small amount so in my personal opinion I wouldnt really expect to get really high. When I first took methadone I was given 30mg at a clinic and I was VERY high, but it did take almost 1-2 hours to take effect and the high lasted almost 2 days. I had an oxy-80 a day habit and didnt take anything for one whole day, then got my 30mg dose of methadone.

Yes have had to take them together. Just let your doctor or if you go to a methadone clinic let someone there know, because sometimes pheneragan can show up a benzos on a drug test. I am on methadone and several years ago I had food poisoning and my doctor gave me pheneragan with my methadone so I wouldn't throw my dose up.

I don't really understand the question. Methadone makes you feel normal and basically gives you extra energy depending on your dose. If you take too much methadone, it will make you tired and make you nod off and fall asleep anywhere, but that's only if you take a lot, if you are not prescribed to methadone I wouldn't recommend taking it at all because it is a very dangerous and potent drug for someone that is not on it and it is definitely not a drug to play or experiment with.

Although, if you are addicted to opiates, I would recommend buying methadone instead, while you try to get into a methadone maintenance program. Buy only a bit, say 5-10mg at first, don't take anymore then 5-10mg your first time or you will get sick. Go up 5-10mg every week and you should be fine until you get prescribed to it. Methadone is a lot better then say Oxycontin or morphine because it's a lot cheaper in the end and lasts 24-36 hours, basically the entire day.

Be very careful though, like I said... it's not a drug to play around with. Once you start taking it, it acts on the opiate receptors in the brain, blocking you from getting high off any other opiate, which isn't such a bad thing. Go to your local methadone clinic or doctor and try to get on the program and just self medicate yourself until you start a prescription for it, just be careful and take my advice above, from someone who was on methadone for five or six years.

Yes! It will show as an opiate, which that is what herion shows as. To find out exactly what you are testing positive for, the urine has to be sent to a lab, but the basic test for opiates will be positive from taking a vicodin( hydrocodone), Oxycontin, Tylenol 3 & 4, herion, and so on...

I currently take 150mg of oxycodone, 160mg of Oxycontin and 30mg of methadone. so yes you can take both. but something to remember you need to take them at the same time or so I have been told, If you do not I have been told one will block the other. Also the methadone attaches it self to a different pain receptor then the Oxycontin or oxycodone so it amplifies the effects ten fold! It in no way blocks anything If taking correctly methadone is used all the time for chronic pain patients like me. it lasts longer then the other medications and offers a different type of pain relief. So when your taking methadone and oxycodone together you're attaching to both sides of the pain receptor. Which gives me almost 100% pain relief.

It's really strong. Strong enough to knock me on my a**... I have been addicted to vicodins for a yr and decided to quit a week ago. I had some suboxone and methadone set aside for when I decided to quit. I was taking up to 30, 750 watsons a day. Long story short after a 2 days of no vicodins I took a half of suboxin strip (that's all I had) it worked for about a good solid day and half the next day. I waited until the following day to take the methadone because I was still having some withdrawls. Anyways I took half of 10mg pill around 12 waited about 2 hrs didn't feel anything and took the other half. Thats all I was gonna do because there was a chance I still had the suboxone in my system and it probaly was just blocking out the methadone. (That's how a lot of people O.D.) but anyways its 4 and I feel a lot better. Way more high than I ever felt taking vicodins.. even better than if I took 5 vicodin... I won't be taking the other methadone for atleast a whole day or two. point being its very very very strong. Just be super super careful. That sh** can honestly kill you. It can cause your respitory system to fail and you'll stop breathing. I wouldn't take it unless you really really need it.. not preaching just trying to help.

Methadone can be used for two purposes - pain control and addiction control for chronic opioid addicts.

For pain control, it can be prescribed by most physicians, but some physicians will not prescribe it because of the connotations it carries along with it.

For addiction treatment, only certified addiction specialists can prescribe it. Other physicians can get certified by undergoing training for addiction treatment.
