taking milk thistle actually slows the production of the paticular enzyme that breaks down methadone. therefore it takes your body longer to breakdown the methadone while on milk thistle, increasing the amount (dose) of methadone in your body. Im currently on both and it helps the methadone last longer while tapering.

The problem with this drug is that it becomes difficult to urinate and the frequency increases during the day, but gets worse at night. You often wake every hour to urinate. After a short period of time the lack of REM sleep affects your mental and physical health. I was put on 60 mg for cronic back pain and within a month the symtoms I've mentioned above appeared. Since I'm in my 60's I and my doctor atributed the urinary and resulting sleep problems to prostate and therefore they put me on 2 different prostate meds. This did nothing to releave the problem. TRAMADOL is a non-narcotic pain releiver, it is for mild pain releif, my fiance has taken this for years and works very well for her. But to answer you question is tramadol like morphine, that is like comparing apples to lettuce, they are both pain releivers but that's where the similarities stop, morphine is a narcotic, tramadol is not. do not know what else to say except once again most people i know say tramadol isn't worth having but if your actually hurting atleast to some extent tramadol will bring much needed releif
