Microprocessors

A microprocessor is the heart of any computer, whether it is a server, a desktop machine, or a laptop. This single chip contains the arithmetic, control, and logic circuitry necessary to interpret and execute computer programs.

Why there is need of multicore processor?

Its needed because its faster, most programs need more speed to run, its better.

What is responsible for performing arithmetic and logical instructions in a computer?

Microprocessor has a component known as ALU(arithmatic and logical unit) whcih is used to perform operations such as

arithmetic includes-add,sub,mul(8086),div(8086)

logical operations include-LOGICAL AND,LOGICAL OR,X-OR

all thsi operations is perofrmed inside the ALU itself with the help of other components such as control unit and registers used as for the storage purposes

Is microprocessors use in inverters?

Microprocessor is used where we require more m/m and data. microcontroller is best option for inverters, but in a case if we want to improve, or want to make it advance such as with some conditions then we use microprocessor

Is the iPhone Intel based?

No. The iPhone is based on what is known as an ARM Cortex processor, manufactured by Samsung.

What is greater kb or MB?

I'm going to assume that the "mb" should actually be "Mb". There is a HUGE difference between the two. Both are, as well as the "k", abbreviations for engineering prefixes. The "m" is for "milli", which represents millionth's, or decimally; 0.001. The "M" is for "Mega", with represents millions, or decimally; 1,000,000. The "k" is for "kilo", which represents thousands. With all of that said, the difference between them is a factor of 1,000, either larger or smaller, depending on whether that is a "m" or a "M". Hope that helps!

What is difference between fpga and microprocessor?

Now FPGAs are having builtin processor like PPC and more either in hardcore or softcore. Main difference between processor and FPGA is execution Processor is sequencial execution but FPGAs are concurrent so speed of FPGA is much higher than a high speed processor.

How many language processors are there?

there are three types of language processors namely interpreter, compiler and assembler

What is PMW in 8085 microprocessor?

I know of no PMW pin or PMW instruction in the 8085. Please restate the question.

If you are asking about PWM, or pulse width modulation, please note that that is not an 8085 specific thing. It would be a function of system design, and you could achieve PWM with programming, but the answer would depend on the particulars of that system design.

What is the maximum temperature of an Intel processor?

The maximum temperature of an Intel processor varies by the type of processor and the chassis of the computer. Many of the Intel processors however, will send a message to the motherboard to shut the computer down if the temperature goes over 100 degrees Celsius.Ê

Who are the 5 top rated CPU Manufacturers?

Intel and AMD are really the only desktop CPU manufacturers, for others (business, specialized, ect.) theres so many different options.

Why does increasing memory do more to improve system performance than simply increasing the speed of single processor?

Well, it doesn't... always.

If you don't have enough system memory (Ram) your computer is forced to waste time swapping data to and from the HDD to load it into and out of ram as needed. This is really really really bad. HDDs, even SSDs are quite slow by computer standards. If you're in this situation and you add enough ram to stop it you will see a very dramatic performance increase.

That being said, if you already have enough ram for your uses, you won't notice much of a difference if you add more. In this case a CPU upgrade or speed increase (overclocking) would be more noticeable. It is important to note that in most situations, a CPU overclock will yield significantly better performance improvements than a ram overclock. and sometimes its could just be the computer. if none of this works try getting a NEW computer

Define CPU its types and uses?

CPU:stand for central processing unit . it is like the brain of computer because every thing you do in in PC should be processed by CPU . actually there is no types but you can say it has been updated since first processor found (in Intel 4004) till now Core i7 (fastest processor in the world). you can get more information from this book : advanced computer architectures. i hope you got benefit.

The CPU is connected to the system memory by the?

The Front Side Bus (FSB) connects the processor (CPU) in your computer to the system memory.

What part of the PC is responsible for controlling the operating temperature of the microprocessor?

The motherboard since it receives the command to shut off the PC from the Microprocessor

How do you fix different types of Blue Screens of Death every time you turn on your computer if I can't complete hard-drive checks and re-installing Windows won't fix it?

During the boot up screen, consistently hit F10, and a screen saying "Would you like to change blue screen of death settings." From then, follow the on screen instructions to fix your blue screen of death problems.

What is the bus between the CPU and L2?

Connectivity to the L-caches was handled by the BSB (Back-Side-Bus) for as long as cache has been implemented on-die. I'm unsure if this is the case in the most modern CPUs, but there is no integral reason to change this, so more than likely.

What is the purpose of the out instruction in 8085 microprocessor?

The OUT instruction in the 8085 takes the contents of the accumulator and stores it at a designated location in IO space. The IO space is 256 bytes. Significant control lines are IO/M- being high, and WR- being low. The output device is expected to strobe the contents of the data bus on the rising edge of WR-. The address is strobed on the falling edge of ALE.

What kind of fan does a Intel core 2 duo e8400 wolfdale come with?

Stock Intel Core 2 Duo fan, very quiet at low speeds which it will achieve as E8400 has significantly reduced Watt requirements.
