Yes you can easily increase RAM of your laptop. First you need to find compatible memory type for your laptop. It will depend on the laptop configuration (like chipset). Most laptops made in last 3-4 years have DDR2 SODIMM memory type. You can also use some of the free utilities like cpuz from cpuid.com to find exact chipset, type of memory installed including size, speed etc. installed in your computer currently in each slot. Before you buy the memory you can once open the memory area cover from base side of the laptop to have a look at the memory slots. This will give you confidence that once you have new modules with you will be able to open up the unit and install the modules.

Forgot Your Windows Password?

A lot of people think that after having lost their Windows admin password, they absolutely have to reinstall their OS. Let me tell you something: They are wrong! Here I'm posting a few methods / utilities which can be used to recover Windows password:

1st Method:

The first thing which you check if you forget login password. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account "Administrator" and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:

Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press <ctrl>+<alt>+<del> keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.

Now you can reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts".

Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

Although the above answer is somewhat correct, it isn't impossible. For instance, on Windows 7, the Magnifier tool has a "Turn on color inversion" setting that makes the thing being magnified be displayed in negative. Do that together with the "Fullscreen" setting and it's as if the entire thing is then in negative. However, the Magnifier window must stay open for the effect to stay (it can be set to open every time you log in), and it won't affect a vast majority of programs that go into fullscreen. But, so long as you didn't want to use it for a specific fullscreen program/game, it works perfectly fine.

So, if you have Windows 7 (or find a program like the Magnifier tool in Windows 7), then you can make your computer screen go negative.

The Save As opens for the first time, because you are having to specify the name, the location and the type of file, like you are doing a Save As. After that, unless you want to change some aspect of how it is being saved, then just a normal save will do.

Rtf and pdf work on all computer OS's including iOS and Android.

This depends on your expertise and preference. Typically I suggest setting your optical media drive (CD/DVD/ETC) as your first boot device, but this tends to slow down your boot time ever so slightly as the drive seeks in order to figure out if the disk in the drive is bootable media or if there's even a disk in the drive. It makes installing boot-level media far easier, however.

If you know what you're doing and know how to manually open the boot menu without going into setup, then set your hard disk as your first boot device, followed by your optical media drive, then finally any other medium such as floppy drive, removable media, etc.

Depending on the system and the connections you will have the L/R (white/red) connections on either the panel that goes behind the unit or the unit itself. You would have used these connections to connect your TV/cable anything else you may have going through the Bose. Then just use a normal line out/audio cable, this will be black and red and then a normal audio jack at the end, black goes in the white terminal and red in the red obviously. Hard-disk manufacturers say 1 Megabyte is 1.000.000 bytes sharp.

Memory-manufacturers calculate this different as all memorychips are multiples of 8 bits.

The Binary numbersystem is used and the closest binary number that fills all bits is:

11111111111111111111

The decimal representation of this is 1.048.575 bytes. IE One megabyte.

When counting data we use decimal numbersystem.

When counting memory we use Binary numbersystem.

This is not likely to ever change because of the way computers and memorychips work.

If you want to download Java games then it should start the download immediately but if you don't have Java then it should have a download button.

Perform a hard power off. One can try holding down the power button down for 5 seconds or more. Should there be one, one can also flip a power switch typically behind a computer. The power cord can also be removed, or surge protector turned off.

Go to the top right hand corner and click account then click settings and then browse a picture or select one of these .

On Windows based OS's, deleted items go to the Recycle folder (bin). Simply emptying the recycle bin does not rid the file from the hard drive. You may have to defragment the drive to really get rid of the files.

They do not just disappear into thin air ... a new file may simply overwrite the old one ... replacing the zeros with ones, for instance. The data changes.

When you press on the power button (or shut down through an OS) it begins by saving all used data and dumping all RAM (Random Access Memory). This, in turn shuts down the OS and finally the circuitry cuts off power to the motherboard, but not completely, the final click is when capacitors are discharged at the end.

The operating system may intercept an ACPI button event from you pressing the power or sleep button. The OS may also initiate a restart from Start/Shutdown/Restart (Windows) or init 6 / reboot or shutdown command (*NIX).

Once the restart sequence is initiated, the OS may instruct all running programs that a shutdown is in progress. These programs/services in turn will initiate their shutdown process to save data and unload from memory safely. The OS will eventually KILL programs or services that do not support or respond to a shutdown event.

The OS will send a command to the ATX power supply (only ATX supports soft powerdown) if shutting down. Otherwise, the OS will simply issue a command to the CPU to warm boot.

BIOS then takes over the boot process, loads first 512 bytes of detected boot device, jumps to boot loader code and you are back up and running.

In the case of problematic restarts, these may be due to malfunctioning hardware on the bus (add-on cards) or misbehaving drivers. Safe mode or single user boot will rule out most drivers. Failing that, yank non-critical add-on peripherals.

The computer can be restarted by selecting start and than shut down, then restart.

Also, it may be turned off by holding down the turn on button, but that is EXTREMELY UNRECOMMENDED if your computer holds anything important at all. By doing it that way your computer is susceptible to losing data due to improper shutdown. Use it for emergencies only.

There is a fast and good way to restart your computer:

Go to Task Manager => Shutdown Menu => Hold Ctrl key and select Restart or shutdown.

Your computer will be restarted or turned off in 3 Seconds!

Macs do not have an Insert key. This is generally considered a good thing. A suitable replacement key will vary depending upon the application being used. If you wish to overwrite text then the text to be replaced should be highlighted and then anything typed will replace the highlighted text.
