The answer to your question is YES. Weather it's a slow dance or a fast dance absolutely. There is no harm in asking someone to your dance. I did it when I was in middle school. I'm 16 now and loved middle school. If you choose to ask the person, remember to be calm and don't be to jumpy.

What should you put in your school bag?

- Bedside lamp that can clip to the frame
- Bed sheet (to cover the mattress, choose a flat one for that distinctive and comfortable hospital corner) and pillow covers

(note: excludes medications that you might need such as medicine for diabetes)

Room decorations
- Something appropriate. Remember the teachers will judge you by your room decorations.
- The national flag is always a good choice.
- Never choose something sexually suggestive or that has pornography on it.
Snacks, beverages and other consumables
- 100-packs of plastic cutlery.
- Value packs of crisps
- Microwaveable food such as Chunky soup, pot noodles, etc
- Vitamin supplements. Life in a boarding school is full of irregular and skipped meals, and bad food.
Drinks
In general, think 12 packs or larger.
- Powerade/Gatorade/Pocari Sweat (or equivalent)
- Sodas
- Water cooler and refills.
- Brita-filter (or equivalent)
- Water in disposable water bottles (even if you have a brita-filter or water cooler, it is very useful when going out of campus, etc)
- Get a tumbler if there are discounts available at the campus store or canteen for using one.
Laundry supplies
Some schools have a laundry service. It may cost up to $500, but it is well worth it
- Laundry detergent packs are very convenient
- Detergent powder/liquid in case you run out of packs
- Fabric Softener
- Fabric softener sheets
- Downy ball, or equivalent.
- Tide pens, or equivalent
- Home dry cleaning kit such as Woolite or Dryel
- Laundry bag with a shoulder strap, for clean clothes
- Wrinkle remover spray
- Laundry basket with handles, for dirty clothes
In general, buy in bulk. You will rarely have time to go to the supermarket for supplies at boarding school.
DO NOT BRING
- Guns (unless you are on the school shooting team, then they will not be stored in the dormitory but rather in a secure area)
- Lighters (unless you are in a military school and would like to fire-shine your shoes, in that case keep it well hidden)
- Drugs (especially the highly illegal kind like cocaine)
- Pets
- fireworks and other explosives
- Excessively smelly foods such as kimchi/kimuchi, durians, etc
- knives, especially if they are excessively long/have no functional purpose
Technically, minors cannot sue each other if that's what you mean. I think the best you can do is tell a parent or teacher. Because they're only spitting on you, it may be gross but it can't actually hurt you physically. I'm sure they would get talked to but I doubt much else if this was the first time that person attempted to irritate you. If this was only one of several ways someone was trying to irritate you, all of the instances combined could be considered bullying. If they were consistently bullying you, it could lead to suspension or even getting expelled. But if they only spit on you, they'd get talked to. And, no, you cannot charge them with an assault just for spitting you.
Does having a curfew improve your grades?
No although getting to bed early gives you a better attitude. Also if you exercise for an hour each day before school it improves your brain activity.
What is better lone hill middle school or ramona middle school?
They are BOTH really great schools, honestly. You could't go wrong with either one. I'm a bit biased since I teach at Lone Hill Middle School, but I know teachers and administrators on both campuses and can attest to the quality of education students get. My kids will be coming to Lone Hill in a few years. :)

What makes you think you, as a 12-year old 7th grade middle schooler, are ready to date? Make a list of why you think you're ready. And if you're not going to be honest making the list, stop reading now. When you finish with that list, make a list of all the reasons you aren't ready. Again, be honest. Set the lists aside for a day or two and then come back and edit them. Honestly. When you say your mom thinks it's pointless, what does she mean? You'd like to know. So ask. And does her thinking that it's pointless mean she actively opposes your dating? If so, you're kinda stuck, because your choices are to date behind her back or to not date. The former will be discovered sooner or later, and trouble will follow. As to the latter, can you just be patient and wait another year or so to date? If your dad is okay with your dating, what does that mean? You need to ask. Will he actively support your dating? Right now he isn't opposed to the idea, and that makes his ideas a bit different from your mom's. What's the crosstalk like between your parents regarding your dating? And whose opinion carries the most weight on this issue? This isn't a suggestion to play your parents off against each other. That's not something a smart kid ever does. Ever. That's bad politics. Share your list with your parents after you're done with it. Ask for a review of the points - both pro and con - that you've listed. You need input. Here it is: there are almost no middle schoolers who are realistically "mature" enough to date. It is extremely improbable that you are the exception. Few parents of middle schoolers are comfortable with their pre-teen kids dating. (And that doesn't mean it's just an "age thing" that disappears when you suddenly become a teen.) Parents want their kids to do the most "unkidlike" thing in the universe - wait. (It's almost a catch-22 situation. If you can't wait, you aren't ready....) There are too many challenges facing teens who date, let alone pre-teens. Pre-teens have fewer clues about real relationships and how to act on a real date. And their heads are still "under construction" from the point of view of the way they see themselves. Their personalities still haven't fully formed, and are, in fact, a fair distance away from beginning to gel in a way that makes them good bets (safe bets) to be dating. Yes, you have to learn sooner or later, but the wisdom, the overpowering majority of it, leans to the side of holding off and waiting a bit longer until you "smooth out" as a person. Some of those rough "immature" edges need to wear down before you begin dating. Need a smoking gun?
