Is the medication given for migraines bupap a narcotic?
Is bupap a narcotic will it show in a drug test it is generic for Furacete

My Mother has been on Depakote (treating agitation due to dementia) for at least 2-3 years. She was recently taken off of this drug. I was under the impression that she would have to be weaned from this drug, but was told that it was not necessary. So far, so good. I think she has reached a point in the disease that these drugs are no longer necessary. She seems a little more with it and hopefully, not as sleepy. This may also be a reason why she is always so cold, but she is also diabetic.
Can continual lifting cause a herniated disk?
Herniated disks occur when we're older because the disk material starts to get old too. It gets less flexible and sometimes when we lift, even something that isn't that heavy, the disk will rupture. If it pushes out, you probably won't even notice it or feel very much. If some of the material pushes toward the center it can cause quite a bit of pain and discomfort when the disk material pushes on the spinal column. The bad news is, it happens to everyone eventually. The good news is, it doesn't always have to be painful and even if it IS painful, the body can disolve the material that getws into the way provided that you can live with it. If the pain gets to be too great, a doctor can remove the damaged disk material and give you a little relief, but the procedure can be risky. Disc herniations don't just happened to old, run down people. A tear within the fibers of a disc can happen to people in their 20's. Disc degeneration and disc herniations definitely happen to people that don't take care of their spines, but just because it's common, doesn't mean it's normal!!! Humans can go through life without suffering through such incredible afflictions. The spine can be taken care of and maintained by a chiropractor. They are the experts to see first. There track record with fixing herniations is second to none. Save surgery for the LAST resort, when all else fails. You can't unboil a hard boiled egg. Surgery is invasive and permanent. The most common mechanism for disc injury is lifting an object while turning. Although injury often happens when lifting heavy objects, the "straw that breaks the camels back" is many times an insignificant maneuver, such as bending over at the sink while brushing your teeth, or while picking a pencil up off the floor.
Is IBS really just all in your head?
NO!!!!!
IBS has to do with irregular muscle contractions, and it is not true that it's not a real condition.
It also is not a psychiatric condition.
For people with IBS who mostly have diarrhea, Librax or Lotronex are effective.
For those IBS is mostly constipation, Zelnorm is recommended.
Another thing: many people have lactose intolerance but don't know it. Taking Lactaid tablets (available at any grocery or drug store) with dairy foods will help that.
More serious are things like ciliac disease, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease. CHECK WITH YOUR GASTROENTEROLOGIST!
Everyone should have a colonoscopy to rule out cancer of the colon, too.
The most common causes of headaches are: Dhydration and stress,To help stop it drink plenty and in times of stress try to relax.

For some people, numbness and other neurological symptoms occur with their migraines. If this is a new symptom for you, however, it is best to have it checked out by a doctor to rule out other causes.
A good rule of thumb is - any time there is a new neurological symptom you haven't experienced, at least ask you doctor. It is your brain. Don't mess around with it.
well if you've also been getting distorted vision every once in a while you MIGHT have something called "Alice in Wonderland Syndrome" (AIWS) and it has multiple other names. its the broad category for disorders like micropsia and macropsia (micropsia is wen ppl feel like they are growing while evrything around them shrinks, macropsia being the opposite) its basically a wide arrange of perceptional distortion (like some ppl feel like they are sinking into a whole or they will reach for the remote and their fingers shoot half a mile in front of them as the remote shrinks) its like the things that happened to Alice in Alice in wonderland (hence the name), scientists believe Lewis Carroll had that (the author) and he described it in this story. but this happens (extremly rare) is found in most children and happens mostly in the dark esp. wen lack of sleep or loads of stress. but are strongly associated with bad migraines. but this is usually a temporary condition and its a hallucination, not something wrong ur eyes are doing. but it could be many other things as well (sry, i just researched this syndrome for school and found it really interesting, esp. cuz i think i had a really minor case, but i just felt like sharing the info, sry... i guess i was showing off a bit...I'll stop now..lol SRY) but you should def. check it out with ur doc., i mean i get terrible short but painful bursts of migraines and its most likely associated with the fact that i hav a cyst somewhere in my brain so i don't know if that can relate or maybe sumthing u eat (choco. is said to hav migraine effects, not on ALL ppl)...

Can you ever go off of depakote?
Yes, it is possible to discontinue Depakote (valproate), but it should always be done under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Abruptly stopping the medication can lead to withdrawal symptoms or a return of the condition being treated, such as seizures or mood instability. A doctor may recommend a gradual tapering of the dosage to minimize risks. Always consult with a healthcare provider before making any changes to medication.
Mixing alcohol with depakote and procyclidine tablets what are the side effects?
Mixing alcohol with Depakote (divalproex sodium) and procyclidine can lead to increased side effects and heightened risks. Alcohol can exacerbate the central nervous system effects of Depakote, such as dizziness, drowsiness, and impaired coordination, increasing the risk of accidents. Additionally, procyclidine, an anticholinergic medication, may also enhance the sedative effects of alcohol, leading to severe drowsiness or confusion. It's crucial to consult a healthcare professional before combining these substances.

How many people have been diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation Type 4?
Arnold Chiari Malformation Type 4 is extremely rare, and specific prevalence data is limited. It is estimated that Chiari malformations, in general, affect about 3 to 8 individuals per 1,000, but Type 4 specifically has very few documented cases, making it difficult to determine an exact number of diagnoses. Due to its rarity, many clinicians may have limited experience with this condition, contributing to the lack of comprehensive statistical data.
