Does a mosquito lay eggs in the water?
I would venture to say no. Chlorine is a highly corrosive chemical. It is used in swimming pools to eliminate algae. So if chlorine is destroying plant life, insects or smaller living particulates would have no need to inhabit a water system with no food.
In addition, enough chlorine can burn skin and mucous membranes, I don't think insect exoskeletons can withstand it either.

Although it should have been done right after the injury, rubbing vitamin E (which you can find at the drugstore in soft gel capsules) can help minimize scarring. Improved Answer (from different person) I tried vitamin E but it didn't work. You can also get Mederma... it's great for scars if you put it on consistently enough.
