Dirt bikes are just like motocycles. But, they arn't supose to be on the road unless you have a dual dirt bike. Dirt bikes are for trail riding and for racing. If you race a dirt bike it is called either Motocross (MX) or Supercross (SX). There are many companys that build and sell dirt bikes like Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Gas Gas and more. Dirt bikes arn't safe without the gear. Which included Jersey, Pants, Boots, Helmet, Googles, Chest Protecter, and some times more. Most of what she said is true. Dirt bikes are motorcycles, true, but almost have more in common to a mountain bike than a Harley. They have lots of suspension travel, and have large wheels. Big bikes are considered anything above 125cc motors, with the most common big bikes now being 250cc four strokes and 450cc four strokes. The typical linkage suspension found on large motocross bikes increase the amount of shock travel versus wheel travel as the rear wheel moves through the stroke. In other words, the shock travels more at the end of the travel than at the beginning. This additional movement increase the damping and spring rate to counter bottoming.

What do you mean? I can probably answer any question involving Motocross (Motorbike racing) but do you mean how do you participate? Well, the way I race, is I go to big national races, where a bunch of other people race too, against me, but only in my class, (bikes around my size and people my age) and we race dirt bikes, basically some people only race for the fun of it, but some people only race for the prizes. In motocross racing there is not a set amount of laps it is asmany laps you can do in the set time (A race is normally between 20-40 minutes depending on how old you are etc)

I will admit the trx450r has a little more power but the ltr450 is way more ballanced than the Honda. They both have a lot of after market parts to help out with power and ballance so really i think it is a close call. But i think the Honda is better for the trail and the suzuki is better for the track.

I will admit that the ltr will kills the trx in all ways. the power difference is huge ltr is way better in that aspect

In most countries you cannot turn pro till 16 and it is not as simple as just deciding to do so as you either have to have progressed enough in the sport to be a high level A grade rider Nationally or you have to earn enough points to be allowed to enter pro level racing.

A 70cc dirt bike is quite fast and can reach speeds of between 30 and 40 miles per hour. The actual speed varies based on the size of the rider and the gearing of the bike.

Backfiring is an indication of lean mixture (not enough gas). First thing to do is make sure you don't have any leaks in the exhaust system at the head pipe or the muffler joint that could be pulling in cool air and contributing to the back firing. Second thing is you want to make sure the air jet passages in the back of the carb are clean and the pilot jet is not partially blocked. Third is, assuming step 1 and 2 are ok, put in some fresh high octane gas and richen up the pilot jet.

Most 200 cc dirt bikes (2 and 4 strokes) with stock gearing will run from low to mid 60's. I have a 01 KDX 220 and run woods gearing of 13/48 and top speed is 67 mph.

If your on the right side of the bike the carburetor is to the top left of the cylinder, there is a screw with a spring on it, tighten the screw to bring the idle up, loosen it to lower the idle

be shure gun is unloaded ! pull the hammer back to full cock. open lever about 1/3 and remove the screw that holds the lever in (pivit screw),remove lever handle. pull bolt out slowly (may have to hold hammer past full cock). the ejecter spring is under presure but pulling the bolt out slowly will release the presure remove the bolt remove the ejector spring with a small pair of neddle nose pliers or nimble fingers. on assembly be shure install ejector spring in the hole and hold it their with a finger and install the bolt to hold it in place. the rest is just reverse directions. good luck. Lay gun on your lap, with the receiver flat lever towards your knees - smack receiver with the palm of your hand to the right of the half-moon shape seam. Make sure your knees are far enough apart that the gun can "fold" in the center. Once halves are apart bold can be easily removed. On newer models there is a screw or pin that keeps it from falling out, on my older 39A the bolt practically falls out.
