How many people disobeyed God in the bible?

I'm not sure exactly how many people disobeyed God in the Bible, but what I can say with certainty is that everyone, great or small, poor or rich, young or old, has disobeyed God and what he commands, except for Jesus. Jesus, who is both God and true man, came down to Earth, was born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect life, was crucified and had an innocent death, and rose again and ascended into heaven, taking away our sins and saving all those who believe.

Hope that this answers your question! If not, the best way to learn about God's Word is to read it. May God bless you and keep you!

What do you learn about redemption from Noah?

Our time period is likened to Noah's day:

(Matthew 24:37-39)"... For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be..." Hebrews 11:7; 1Peter 3:20, 21.

Our survival is based on obedience to God.

(Genesis 6:7-9)"...This is the history of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the [true] God."

(Genesis 6:22) " And Noah proceeded to do according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so."(Genesis 7:5)

(Hebrews 11:7)"...By faith Noah, after being given divine warning of things not yet beheld, showed godly fear and constructed an ark for the saving of his household; and through this faith he condemned the world, and he became an heir of the righteousness that is according to faith." (Ezekiel 14:14, 20) And Noah was blessed for his obedience (Genesis 9:1)

Part of our responsibility, like Noah, is to preach about God's message:

(2 Peter 2:5&6) "...and he .... kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people..."

(Matthew 24:14)"...and this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all nations, and then the end will come". (Matthew 28:19&20)NWT

Additional thought:

The salvation of Noah and his family from physical death pictures what happens to those who trust in Christ, who saves believers from the spiritual consequences of sin: (1 Peter3:18-22) "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison[from the flood]; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure [type or picture] whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God [because of belief, witnessed by public baptism] ,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him."

What is Noah's heritage?

Noah was of Akkadian heritage, though he was also part Hurrian. He was born around 1760 BC in the city of Hanoch near the Tigris River (now the ruins of Hamoukan, eastern Syria). This was the city founded by Cain. There he was a vintner and sporadically a priest of Adonai. He was a descendant of Adammu (born around 2030 BC), a prince of Ur who had married his wife Hova in Urkesh (Mozah, Syria), got into serious religious trouble preaching monotheism (for the god Adonai, or Adonis), and who then moved to a large estate near the city of Nisibis (present-day Nusaybin, Turkey). He had three sons named Cain, Abel and Seth. Cain killed Abel in a religious argument and was banished from Nisibis. Accompanied by his brother Seth, he moved east towards the Tigris until he came to the ruins of an ancient city. Cain built a new city amidst the ruins and called it Hanoch after his son. Cain became the ruler and Seth the priest of the new settlement. The descendants of Cain were the kings of Hanoch, while the descendants of Seth were the high priests. But gradually the people of Hanoch stopped believing in Adonai and began worshipping many gods. Finally the priest Lamech shut the temple down and became a vintner, as was his son Noah. But it was at this time that King Jabal III of Hanoch became evil, and started sacrificing people to the gods. Noah was married to the king's sister Naamah, and thus was safe, but Noah shuddered for the fate of his people. One night Noah had a dream in which God commanded him to build a gigantic boat, which he promptly did. His neighbors laughed at him, for Hanoch was some miles from the river. But shortly afterwards the Tigris River overflowed in a gigantic flood and the city of Hanoch was destroyed. Only Noah and his family survived in the Ark. The wall of water swept them many miles south through the flooded plain until they fetched up against the Sinjar Mountains. There Noah disembarked and offered sacrifice for his celebrated escape. But Noah loved the riverlands no more, he was afraid of them. He moved his entire family to the highlands of Mannaea and lived in the town of Zolcarda (now Igdir, Turkey) under the shadow of Mount Ararat. There he died around 1680 BC, and was buried in a cave in the side of the mountain. His sons Shem and Ham then moved back to the Middle East, but his other son Japheth moved to Thrace.

Is Noah in Noah's ark the same Noah as in Noah and the whale?

No they are not the same person.

You're confusing Noah (of the ark) with Jonah, the man associated with the whale ("great fish" - Jonah 1:17).

Were Genesis and all known scriptures written after Noah's Ark landed?

No! Berosus of Chaldea casually tells us that his king loved to read the books written before the flood and that their Noah even wrote some himself and buried them in Sippur (booktown - obviously an ancient library). But as for the Torah these were written down after the flood (around 1300 BC) though the tales from genesis 1-11 existed before this. In what forms we cannot say at this time.
