Why some times command line interpreter are not the part of the kernel?
Not integrating the command interpreter into the kernel allows for easier replacement and customization. It can also increase reliability.
How does journaling help an operating system recover from system failures?
In a journaling file system -- such as ext3 or NTFS -- changes are written to a separate log - the journal - before being committed to the main storage area. This journal contains information about the intended changes.
In the event of power failure or system crash tools can compare the journal to the main file system and discover inconsistencies without walking the entire file system.

What are the most common operating system problems?
There are tons of operating systems so to such a broad question I can only give a very broad answer. The most common problem that affects most computers is a fatal system error. Then, for the Windows NT family of computers, there is the BSOD or Blue Screen of Death. Its counterpart in the UNIX family of computers (including Linux and Mac OS X) is the kernel panic. Without going into too much detail, these problems bring the operating system to a halt and can even shut them down.
Another problem which does not quite affect the UNIX PC's as much as the Windows PC's is the whole concept of viruses and malicious software, better known as malware.
From here on you can specify and generate many other questions to be answered elsewhere at a later time.
In a dual oprating system how can you delate one oprting system?
The second operating system should be on a different partition or disk. If you format the partition/disk that the unwanted operating system is on, the machine will have no choice but to boot to the remaining operating system.

He serves a very specific purpose on the team. He's the go-to guy when a certain result is needed. He does whatever he does well, but may not be good in other positions. One example could be a pitcher you can depend on to maintain a slim lead going into the 9th inning, but he just isn't a starter or a long-relief pitcher.
Monolithic Kernel is also known as "Macro Kernel" A monolithic kernel (Macro Kernel) is an operating system architecture where the entire operating system is working in the kernel space and alone as supervisor mode. The monolithic differs from other operating system architectures (such as the microkernel architecture) in that it defines alone a high-level virtual interface over computer hardware, with a set of primitives or system calls to implement all operating system services such as process management, concurrency, and memory management itself and one or more device drivers as modules.
Which Desktop Environment does Windows use?
It is not named.
It's all built in, you can't change it without tons of hacking.
What are the two types of fragmentation?
n computing, file system fragmentation, sometimes called file system aging, is the inability of a file system to lay out related data sequentially (contiguously), an inherent phenomenon in storage-backed file systems that allow in-place modification of their contents. It is a special case of data fragmentation. File system fragmentation increases disk head movement or seeks, which are known to hinder throughput. The correction to existing fragmentation is to reorganize files and free space back into contiguous areas, a process called defragmentation.
I don't believe that by trying to go to any website caused your problem. What could have happened at that exact moment is that your Hard Drive just up and died. Hard Drives don't last forever and while some may last 5 to 7 years and even more, a Hard Drive can die in a brand new computer. It's just one of those things about owning a computer that makes people want to pull their hair out. Very frustrating.
If you know how, try to enter Safe Mode as your computer boots. *Be VERY careful-- better to Exit out of Safe Mode if you do not know what you are doing.* But if you can boot your PC to Safe Mode---or, if you get the beginning info (white writing on a black screen which quickly disappears as the PC continues to load the OS), then it is not your harddrive. More likely the Operating System got some file deleted.

Where is the operating system stored on a computer?
The computer motherboard has a BIOS (Basic In-Out System). When the power is turned on, the BIOS check the basic system, beeps if it is okay, goes looking for the harddrive (or other place the OS might be stored). Then it has the instructions to start the OS. Voila!
On a PC, the operating system is stored on the hard disk; mostly in the folder called Windows, and all its subfolders.
