Owls make noises, they don't "say" anything.
That said, "toot whoo" seems to have an extra plosive in there (specifically, the second T) that I personally haven't heard in an owl call.
The symbolic meaning of a flock of blue-gray owls flying in a dream?
That sounds like a lovely dream. But its meaning depends on the emotions you felt during the dream. Sad, glad, mad or scared?
It depends on the owl but the average is 15 to 30 years
The most logical explanation is a ghost. If you're house is old it is most likely harboring tons of spirits, if you've just moved in, think about recently deceased relatives or friends. Could one of them have a message to tell you? Was a friend/relative angry at you before they died? If so, try politely speaking to the ghost, ask him/her to kindly leave you alone or ask him/her to tell you why he has come to you. Still not working? Try a seance. Remember to never become angry with the ghost, always stay calm and open minded. Still not working? Your last option is exorcism, call in an exorcist to get rid of your ghost. I had a poltergeist and could not get rid of it once, no matter how many seance's i did that poltergeist wouldn't let go. I called an exorcist and BAM! Haven't had a ghost problem since!
Or it could be the normal expansion/contraction caused by heat gain/loss.

Why do some owl pellets have no bones?
I've read that some owls do not regurgitate bones in their pellets. Also, if the bones are really fine, rather than dense like the pelvis & many of the long bones of mammals, they may be digested. I just found what appears to be a densely-packed cylindrical owl pellet which is over 4" long which is comprised almost if not entirely of bird feathers - no bones. Birds have very light bones with air pockets in them to promote flight. Perhaps bird bones would be more easily digested & therefore not passed in the pellet. However, since most owls hunt at night, what birds would an owl have access to? I read the Great Horned Owls can have pellets that are 4"+ in length.

If the owl population increases, the vole population will decrease. This is because there will not be enough voles for all of the owls. Then the owl population will decrease, therefore causing another increase in vole population.
Why would lungs of an animal that was eaten by an owl not show up in an owl pellet?
because ussually a owl pellet eats small animal so there lungs wont show because there bones are little. So a owl eats big ones so lungs will show because they have big bones.

How often do people see Barn Owls?
It can depend on where you live. In some places the Barn Owl is very scarce and even endangered. If you are in the U.S., the Barn Owl is rare in midwestern states and some New England states. It is also rare in the UK. Barn Owls are more often heard than seen. Because of their silent flight, a Barn Owl can fly right over you and you'd be unaware unless you happened to look up at the right moment. On the other hand, if the Barn Owl lets out one of its trademark screams, you would definitely know it was there. Barn Owls possibly the most vocal of the owls. They have over 16 different vocalizations that have been identified, including screams, screeches, squawks, clicking, and hissing. All owls are very difficult to find during the day because they stay very still and blend in with their surroundings. One way to see Barn Owls is to find a local Barn Owl nesting box and stake it, being sure to not interfere in any way, and NEVER to climb up to the box. Just observe from a distance, using binoculars, and most of all LISTEN. If there are Barn Owls about you'll hear them first.
Why does a nocturnal owl's skull have one ear that points and the other ear pints down?
Some owls have uneven ear slits. It helps them pinpoint the location of the source of the sound. It is very good for finding prey. When owls are in mid flight, it takes a fraction of a second for them to recalculate the location of the sound when they hear it again. Yeah, owls are awesome.
