Depends on whether or not you are using these two recreationally or not. For the record, I don't advocate that, seeing as I almost overdosed and died on Delsym a few years ago. If you are using these two drugs as they are intended to be taken, Delsym should not be taken with Oxycodon, or any kind of opiate, mostly because the DXM in Delsym will not mix well with the painkilling effects of Oxycodon. Oxycodon is an extremely powerful painkiller and should never be taken with any other medication - the side effects are too pronounced. If you are using these two substances recreationally, never, ever, under any circumstances mix the two. High doses of Delsym will spike your blood pressure to unhealthy extremes, and can lead to heart palpitations and even trouble walking. Adding Oxycodon to this mix will worsen these symptoms and could possibly cause trouble breathing. I am not a doctor, so I can't give you all the medical jargon, but as a former experimental moron, I can tell you that mixing these two substances is not recomended.

Oxycontin, is the drug oxycodone suspended in a polymer matrix that allows it to be slowly metabolized over a 12 hour period. Many drug users crush the pill, to disable the matrix and make it more effective during first pass metabolism in the small intestine. A popular misconception is that the coating is the time-release agent, but it is only used to keep the pill from disintegrating during packaging and transport and the colored coating is used to ID the dosage. Few drug panels actually test for Oxycodone (the active ingredient in Oxycontin or its metabolites) So a standard 5-6 substance urine panel only tests for Amphetamines, cocaine, Morphine, Codeine, Hyrdocodone, PCP

As far as how long it takes to metabolize, it depends on many factors, but assuming that you are not an addict and an occasional user, the drug can stay in your system for 72-96 hrs in urine and blood, assuming you have healthy kidneys and a healthy liver. As for a follicle test, it can show up for many months, though usually 90 days is the most common interval you are held responsible for when being tested by most companies and agencies due to the lack of reliable results past 90 days of growth from hair tests.

You "could" if you "really" wanted to deal with the time consuming effort. It involves , first, removing the coating. second , crushing the pill. third putting the crushed pill into a "whatever" to put the water onto it. next, put larger then normal amounts of cold water onto the pill. then, *QUICKLY* mix it w/o heat. and draw up the liquid. it takes a while (5-10) minutes per 30mg. to draw it up. BUT you will get at least 2 pulls from 1 pill!! 3 if you really wanted it, but that's just un-necessary holes..... the key is quickness, because most morphine is a "sulfate" which means its only "slightly" soluble in water. PLUS>> it gels up in a hurry!!

I was in a car accident back in September 2003 in which my Pain Management Doctor prescribed for me Merthadone 10 mgs. I onced live in New York but now live in Virginia . My Doctor did not feel comfortgable prescribing Methadone for the injuries that I sustained in the car accident . My Spine got split and I had to have 4 hours of surgery to put some pins in my back to hold the Spine together . Today's date is May 2009. The Doctor in Virginia is the doctor who said that he did not feel comfortable prescribing me Methadone because he said that Methadone is usually prescribed for Cancer patients . The Doctor who is trying to wean me off of Methadone to Percocet is an Internist; The Doctor who originally prescribed the Methadone for me is a Pain Management Doctor . Last Thursday, April 9, 2009 , The Internist began weaning me off the Methadone (10 mgs.) to Percocet 5/325 mgs.. Since Thursday , I started what I think are withdrawl pains . The symptoms that I am having now are, pain in the right-side of my neck and shoulder , radiating down the right side to the waist area , both hands and feet are tingaling with continuous numbness , being cold one minute then hot the next mnute , nose running , right leg shuddering , and losiung my ability to walking with occasional legs collapsing from under me , and not being able to stand up from a low chair or toilet seat . Can someone tell me what is wrong ? The pain is so excruciating thatr I cry begging for some absence of this PAIN . Now, Can I take 2 Percocets since my pain does not respond to 1 Percocet ?

yeah. usually i dont mix drugs but if i only had a little of each i would take my fav one first then take the other one an hour later to potentate the first one (that means make it stronger) as to boost the buzz a little bit. :)

No. Kidney infections are caused by bacteria entering the kidneys, generally through the bladder. Oxycontin is a pain medication, not bacteria.

I don't think so I have taken ibuprofen with it before and it never did anything more to me I heard it is actually not good to take any of them together but it probably just the fact that you shouldn't really mix any kind of medications together but I really think what you are saying is just a myth

No, absolutely not! And why would you be abusing it anyways? The only Time I have read about people abusing it is in prison.

you wouldnt even feel the oxy,or a point of heroin ,you would however feel a 100 grey morphine and ,its a hell of alot easier to quit if you are on meth,next day do a grey -no meth next day half your dose of meth with down or morph maybe half a grey,then thrd day no meth a whole grey and next same,then 10 mls of meth amd if nedded a point next day -then no meth no greys just valium weed and a percoset or 2 and you are done you might feel weak anxious but ive done this before or whatever is available-the truth is only one way to come off opiates comfotably as possible and that to have knowledge willpower and other tapering off opiates for comfort,...MALvancouver

Percocet contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen (Tylenol). As such, if you're just getting a straight-up Oxycodone prescription, all you need to do is add OTC Tylenol.

Orally is the best way to get the full effects of Oxycontin. Sure, you'll feel the instant rush snorting them, but it only lasts a few hours. I know it's difficult to be patient and wait the 30 minutes-1 hour for your Oxycontin to kick in, but it lasts so much longer, and you get the full effects of it. If you think about it, a lot of the pill is wasted snorting, because particles get trapped in your nasal passages, and if you sneeze or blow your nose, well that's another huge waste. Just stick with taking them orally.

Regular tablets took orally starts to work after 20-30 minutes and the effect might last for up to 3-5 hours.

Yes they are both opiates therefore can be mixed just not in large doses. If you take a vic at noon you can take a perc or percs at 4pm-6pm.

Well yeah, if the pain you are in justifies such heavy medication. I for example have 6 disks in my lumbar that are all messed up with multiple problems at each level. I am currently taking Roxicodone which is 30mg of instant release oxycodone unlike Oxycontin. I also take Norco which is 10mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of Tylenol. I am prescribed 6 a day of each, and have been for quite some time. It works wonders for me, and could not have anything close to a life without it. What the person above was trying to say or at least I think they are is if you have a low opiate tolerance you can't take it in high doses, and also if your medications contain Tylenol you aren't supposed to take that in high dosage because of possible liver and or kidney damage.

Also people don't know this but Heath Leger's overdose was a mixture of these two drugs along with sleeping pills and other drugs. So be very careful and listen very carefully to your doctor, and follow the directions on the bottles label. Also, don't be scared to ask your doctor or pharmacist questions. It could save your life.
