Stay after class to talk to your teacher and perhaps they'll give you an answer to your question. The teacher may feel you are more intelligent and can do better in class than you are applying yourself so they are using harder tactics to get your attention. Perhaps you have a habit of not doing your homework and a good teacher wants to be sure kids in school are getting a good education so the teacher is so-called picking on you to see if you are learning anything. Let the teacher know that by doing this it embarrasses you and causes anxiety for you to the point you don't want to be in their class. Try to come to a solution with this problem that both of you can work with. There are some teachers that may actually be cruel enough to pick on certain kids in school (I had one in Elementary school) and if your teacher can offer you no explanation as to why they are picking on you then discuss this with your parents and see if you can't be in another class. Remember, dedicated teachers teach the best they can, but the homework is up to you and these dedicated teachers will use every trick in the book to get you to the point of your level of intelligence.
