Do parakeets make a lot of noise?

Parakeets can get noisy but if they have the right amount of attention and care, they shoud not be much of a bother. Female parakeets make less noise(practically none) than males but keep in mind that females are much more aggressive. Alse, at night, keep their cage covered with a sheet or towel and that should keep them quite while you are sleeping. I hope this is helpful.

Budgie throwing up seed?

Might be your budgies having problems. The best answer is always to see a pet doctor.

But also, feeding all seeds are not supposed to be your budgie's (or most of the parrots) main diet. I recommend 80% of your budgie's food to be PELLETS, since seeds does fill your budgie up, but doesn't give nutrition to them. Also, some more vitamins and fruits should also be included in the diet!

Always feeding seeds to parrots for a long time can lead to problems such as: nutritionless, feather not as bright, not playful (sleepy) or even more severe problems. So a combination of different foods (pellets, seeds, fruit, sea shell powder, vitamin, etc) would be wonderful for your loving birds!

Can a parakeet lay an egg if she hasn't mated?

No, an egg can only be produced with a male bird`s help. Mating has to take place.

Would a female kill its mate if it was pernent?

'Pernant' is not a word, I would be more concerned about my intelligence than parrots if I were you :-))))

Do poinsettias kill parakeets?

Poinsettias have been thought to be poisonous to animals for years, but there's been some recent research that shows they're not poisonous to birds. Poinsettia leaves can irritate stomach linings of animals, but in small doses it seems they won't cause any major problems. Apparently the berries are very toxic and, to be safe, keep your bird away from these.

Where do parakeets live?

Parakeets are native to several countries. The term "parakeet" is a generalised term to cover numerous species of smaller, long-tailed parrots. The word tends to be used in countries outside of the birds' native lands. For example, the term "parakeet" is never used in Australia to refer to budgies, lorikeets or cockatiels, yet these birds are commonly known as "parakeets" overseas.

The general term of parakeets may refer to certain bird species of Australia, South America, Asia and Africa.

What do parakeets eat?

Well at most pet stores there's bags of bird food... that's probably a good idea... but you can also feed them dried fruit, seeds, nuts.

Plus, they love fresh broccoli, corn on the cob, carrots with the green tops on them, the seeds left on the bell pepper you just chopped up (ya know the heart of the bell pepper) Whole wheat toast, oats and groats, any kind of green leafy fresh vegetables.

I named one of my parakeets, "Carrot Face" as she loves fresh carrots. and devours them to the point of having a orange face around her beak. (she is white with gray highlights)

They love veggies.... good luck!

Birds actually eat seeds.

When a female parakeet is pregnant will its stomach be hard?

No. If your female parakeet has a hard stomach, there is something drastically wrong.

Parrots are birds. They do not get pregnant, as reproduction is done through the laying of eggs. The eggs take about three weeks to form properly in the body, but this is not called "pregnancy". They look the same when they are laying eggs as when they aren't. In other words, birds don't "hold" their eggs inside their bodies and show a big belly to indicate that eggs are on the way. The egg shell is the last thing that develops right before the egg is laid, therefore, a hen doesn't "show" in the sense that human women "show" when they are pregnant.

A parakeet with a swollen abdomen is not a sign of of a bird about to lay an egg. It is either eating too much of a high-fat diet (common among birds with a seed-only diet) or it has a tumor.

Swelling in the abdominal area could also mean the parrot is egg-bound, though this tends to present more as swelling near the bird's tail, near the cloacae. She will be distressed and show signs of constipation, be reluctant to move and "waddle" like a penguin. If your bird shows signs of being egg-bound, she must be taken to the vet as soon as possible, as this can be a life-threatening condition.

Does your male roommate like you if you cuddle together and enjoy each other and are best friends and understand each other in a deep spiritual way but he flirts with other girls?

Answer You said it. The two of you cuddle, are best friends can probably confide in most things, but he flirts with other girls because you are his best friend, not his girlfriend.

Are parakeets stinky?

Healthy parakeets do not have a strong odor. Their cages may become stinky if their owners do not clean them regularly, but that is not the bird's fault.

What does it mean when you kept dreaming of a stranger?
