Actually, she wasn't shot in the first movie. She was dragged down the stairs by her paranormal ghost, and yelled for micha.Micha was supposedly knifed to death by Katie(or the ghost inside Katie's body) So because Katie was not actually shot, ( it was just paranormal activity inside of her...like i said before) she is still alive.

Well, Nobody knows. It is so freaking confusing. In the movie in the end, Their parents were thanked for the footage. But if it was a real footage, they would be dead by now! oh God! i want to kill them for making me think so much. :P
