One can every couple of days isn't likely to do any harm. One case a day (24 cans in a case) would be more calorie and salt intake than you'd call safe. ETOH ranks right there under fats and above sugars in KCals/mg loading, so again, if you're undernourished, this isn't a bad thing. Alcohol isn't helpful in cases of dehydration, so it's hard to make the case that a beer solves that problem, but hey -- beer tastes and feels good! And again, some folks find a beer or two now and again to be convivial and relaxing. No-one recommends drinking a case a night.
