What can you infer about the planet season?

The planet must have varying temperatures and weather patterns throughout the year, resulting in distinct seasons. These changes may be influenced by factors such as the planet's orbit around its star, axial tilt, and distance from the star. Observing the length and intensity of each season could provide insight into the planet's climate and its potential to support life.

Which of the rocky planets have well developed atmospheres?

The two largest, Earth and Venus, have a mass large enough to sustain an extensive atmosphere. The other two rocky planets, Mars and Mercury, are too small to hold such an atmosphere. There is some, but it is very thin.

What is found between the rocky planets and gaseous planets?

The great distance between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter is almost completely void of anything, save for what is known as 'the asteroid belt'.

The asteroid belt is a ring of asteroids and other space rocks of varying sizes that orbit the sun between the orbits of the gas giants and the inner rocky planets.

The belt is estimated to be a couple of hundred million km 'wide' but is hard to calculate because the diffuse nature of the belt means that edges are difficult to define. The belt also contains the dwarf planet, Ceres.

Planets orbit a star?

Yes, planets orbit a star due to the gravitational pull of the star. This gravitational force keeps the planets in motion around the star in a regular pattern. The orbiting motion of planets around a star is essential for maintaining the stability and balance of a planetary system.

Which are the states with the largest and smallest areas in idia?

Rajasthan is the largest state in India by area, while Goa is the smallest.

What is the origin of an iron meteorite?

Iron meteorites originate from the cores of differentiated asteroids that experienced high temperatures and pressures. These asteroids were disrupted by collisions, exposing their cores, which then traveled through space before eventually falling to Earth as meteorites.

What is the brightest star outside solar system?

The star outside the solar system that appears the brightest is Sirius. It's actually not all that bright (absolute magnitude 1.4, or about 25 times brighter than the Sun), it's just very close to us (only about 8 light years away).

The second-brightest star in the night sky is Canopus, which actually really is pretty bright (absolute magnitude -5.5 ... lower is brighter, and Canopus is almost 13,000 times brighter than the Sun); it's about 300 light years away, and it only appears to be slightly dimmer than Sirius because of its much greater distance.

However, even Canopus is nowhere near the grand champion R136a1, which has the lowest absolute magnitude (highest intrinsic brightness) known: -12.5, almost nine million times brighter than the Sun. You can't see it without a pretty good telescope, because it's not even in our own Galaxy but in the Large Magellanic Cloud, 160,000 light years away. If it were at the same distance as Sirius, it would be significantly brighter than the full Moon.

What is the orbital period of an object at a distance of 4 AU from the sun?

The period of an object at a distance of 1 AU from the Sun is one year. We know that, because that's Earth.

By Kepler's Third Law, something at four times the distance would have a period of the square root of the cube of 4, or the square root of 64, or, to put it simply, 8... times as long.

So, 8 years.

Which planet do most known extrasolar planet most resemble?

Of what we have found most are the size of Jupiter or larger. But we know many more extrasolar planets exist that we simply cannot detect. If we were to draw hypotheses on what planets are most abundant they would either be similar to dwarf planets. Or, if the reader does not view dwarf planets as true planets then planets the size of ones in the terrestrial zone like: Mercury, Venus, or Earth. Are probably the most abundant.

What is a floating rotation?

A floating rotation is a method used in job scheduling where employees rotate through different shifts or departments without a set pattern. This allows for flexibility in assigning work hours and duties based on business needs and employee availability.

Why are you able to see planets in the solar system?

We can see planets in the solar system because they reflect sunlight, making them visible from Earth. Due to their size and proximity to the Sun, planets appear as bright points of light in the night sky. Telescopes also help magnify and clarify our view of planets.

How menny moons does merckary have?

Mercury, not "merckary," has no moons. It is one of the two planets in our solar system without any known natural satellites.

Do all the gas giants emit much more energy than they receive from the sun?

Yes, gas giants like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune emit more energy than they receive from the sun. This excess energy is primarily due to the planets' internal heat sources, including residual heat from their formation and energy generated by processes like gravitational contraction.

Is mercury similar to any other planets?

A rocky 'inner' planet devoid of liquid water, Mercury can find close analogues with Mars and Venus. Also, many moons in the solar system share the barren, cratered form of Mercury.

What would happen if planets did not move in a fixed orbit?

If planets did not move in a fixed orbit, their paths would become unpredictable and chaotic. This would likely result in collisions between planets or ejections from the solar system. Ultimately, the stability of the entire solar system would be compromised.

When the sun becomes a white dwarf how long would it take before Venus and mercury turned into icy and cold planets?

before the sun turns into a white dwarf it will expand, and expand, and expand and while its expanding it will suck in all/ most of the planets the ones that don't get sucked in will become really hot because once the suns done expanding after a while it will explode and the explosion will go VERY far.

What are the differences between a solor eclipse lonor eclipse new moon and full moon?

A lunar eclipse means the Earth is exactly between the Sun and the Moon, so the Earth's shadow falls onto the Moon.

A new moon means the Moon is roughly between the Sun and the Earth, so you can't see the Moon that easily because the side that is lit by the Sun is pointing away from us.

If during a new moon the Moon should become _exactly_ between the Earth and the Sun, some people on Earth (if standing in the right place) would see a big chunk cut out of the Sun where the Moon is blocking its light, causing a shadow to go on the Earth. The Moon might even completely block out the Sun's light for a few minutes. This is called a Solar Eclipse.

How far is 640 light years?

Incredibly far. 640 light years equates to 3.76223988 × 1015 miles.

What is the name of the largest known star in the universe?

The largest known star is VY Canis Majoris [See Link] which has a diameter about 2,100 times larger than that of our Sun; this means about 9,300,000,000 Suns would fit inside (gaseous bodies like stars do not really have a definite 'surface'). See link for pictorial representation against our own Sun.

VY Canis Majoris can be found in the constellation Canis Major and is approximately 4,900 light years away.

See related link for a cool video showing how BIG VY Canis Majoris is!

In other galaxies there are probably larger stars.

How often do planets align in your solar system?

To start, hopefully my solar system is the same as yours. There is no definite answer depending on how perfectly aligned you are asking. There was an alignment of sorts with 5 planets and the moon May 5th, 2000. The next one of those will happen in 2040. Including all the planets and a near perfect to perfect alignment, it's in the millions of years to trillions of years. For better information check out below:

Does the number of moons effect the mass of a planet?

Yes, the number of moons can affect the mass of a planet to some extent, as the gravitational pull between the planet and its moons can influence each other. However, the effect is usually minimal compared to the mass of the planet itself.

Where is the spoon made from seven stars in ultimate ispy?

The spoon made from seven stars in Ultimate I Spy can be found in the Living Landscapes section of the game. It is located in the Starry Night scene, where players need to find various objects hidden in the artwork.
