A hybrid pool lacks the required 'concrete receptor coping' installed in all vinyl liner pool installations. The required concrete receptor coping is extremely strong and contains what is known as a 'bead receptor'. All vinyl liners are manufactured with a 'bead' around the top of the liner. Obviously, at installation the bead is inserted into the bead receptor enabling the liner to support well over a hundred thousand (100,000) pounds of water.
