How do you tell the difference between cotton and polyester?

This guide will explain the difference between cotton filled and polyester filled bedding sets. Cotton filled quilts are typically more expensive because of the added skill required in making the quilts. 100% cotton quilts are normally heavier than polyester filled quilts because polyester is a less dense fiber. Because of the lighter weight, polyester has more "holes" with which to retain heat. For this reason, polyester quilts are lighter and can be warmer than 100% cotton quilts.

What is the difference between a Mercedes 190 and 190e?

The "e" designation indicates the engine is "fuel injected" and is from the German word for fuel injection, "einspritzen", which literally means "in spray." The MB 190 sans "e" had a carburetor.

The less rational and more confusing designation is the 190. In Europe it indicated the car had a four cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.9 liters, about 116 cubic inches.

In the US. this was the model designation for the first "Compact" MB, but most of the cars actually came equipped with four cylinder engine of 2.3 liters displacement, about 151 cubic inches because our then current smog laws rendered all engines relatively gutless by the late 70's and early 80's.

Sometime in the 90's MB changed their model/engine designation system. They had three clases of sedans: Compact, C class, Intermediate, E class and Huge, S class. The numbers following indicated engine dislplacement. Now the system has gotten way complex again so that the same letter can mean different things depending where it is placed. For example an SLK is a two seat sports car to compete against the Porsche Boxster and BMW Z4. A car with 350K designation has a V6 engine of 3.5 liters displacement with a Kompressor, meaning "supercharger". And yes, I do believe there is an SLK350K. Aren't you glad you asked? And no I don't have a life; that's why I know stuff like this. JHS

cra_arc says

well that's sort of correct

mmmn well this is true as far as the difference between 190 and 190e is concerned.

but in most of Europe most 190`s were either 1.8 or 2 liter in the UK market very few 2.3 8v petrol engined variants were introduced ( NAM version were many more)

there were however 2.3 and 2.5 16v variants and a 2.6l 6 cyl and specialist 3.6 12 and a very few 24v variants of the w201.

not counting the diesel version.

What is the difference between compassion and pity?

Pity is when you feel sorry for someone, but it doesn't come from your heart. Pity doesn't help anyone but compassion does. You will notice in the Gospels that "Jesus was moved with compassion for the multitudes" is mentioned several times. He saw their spiritual state and felt compassion for them, to help with their needs. You can feel pity for someone all day long, but when you feel compassion and empathy for someone you will be moved to action to help them in some way, hopefully.

What is the difference between flesh out and flush out?

To "flesh out" an idea is to give it substance, as a sculptor adds clay flesh to a skeletal armature. To "flush out" a criminal is to drive him or her out into the open. The latter term is derived from bird-hunting, in which one flushes out a covey of quail. If you are trying to develop something further, use "flesh"; but if you are trying to reveal something hitherto concealed, use "flush."

What is the difference between psycopathy and sociopathy?

Based on my readings on the sociology of deviance, whether you describe someone who exhibits chronic disregard for others' rights/feelings, lack of empathy, total self-centeredness, etc. as "psychopathic" or "sociopathic" depends on whether you trace the cause of the behavior to intrapsychic or biological defects (psychopathic) or trace it to the social structure of a given society (sociopathic). Given that this kind of behavior is common in some types of societies and comparatively rare in others, I believe a strong case can be made for a social etiology.

Where can I find a winter coat made by B.K.R. Sports dept made of 100 percent PVC and 100 percent Polyester?

I don't know anything about B.K.R. Sports, but just from what you've said in the question,
I'd say you're never going to find such an item anywhere.

"100 percent" means "the whole thing". You've said you want the whole thing to be PVC
and you also want the whole thing to be polyester. That's going to be one tough fabric.
I don't think you'll find it.

I have a blond wig for Halloween that is short and straight and is made out of polyester. People boil wigs to make them more curly. . . will that work with mine?

Yes it will but don't leave the heat on under it just roll it in plastic rollers with openings put it in the boiling water (off heat) and leave it until the water cools. Air dry the wig with the rollers still in and you will have the result you want. Spray with hair spray (aquanet works best) before you style it and after. My friends were drag queens who styled wigs all the time that is where I learned the trick. Have fun at the party!

What is the difference between qtp 8.2 and qtp 9.0?

The basic difference between QTP 8 and 9 versions is Object Repository Configuration and Management. In QTP 8 version... 1) The Object Repository Modes are PerAction and Shared. 2) The QTP script can get connected to one repository at one time. If per action, every action of the QTP Test Script is connected to one Repository and If shared then all the actions will be connected to one Shared Repository. 3) For shared Repository QTP Script, upon recording the user activities on AUT, the objects will be added to the Repository connected. In QTP 9 version... 1) The Object Repository Modes are Local and Shared. 2) The QTP script can get connected to more than one repository at one time. An Action can be assosiated to more than one repository simultaneously. The Repositories it connects should be Shared(external in Read only mode) other than it's own Repository (Local). 3) Upon recording the user activities on AUT, the objects will be added to the Local Repository but not the Shared as it will be read only mode. There are other minor differences that you can find in the QTP 9 version help. By the way the QTP version 9 approach has created more problems than solutions for those whose framework insists Shared Repository mode.
