You confess to a crime do you still have to go to trial?

Confessing to a crime has nothing to do with your plea of guilty, no contest, or not guilty. In the United States, you must still stand before a judge and make a plea. If you have a felony, you must discuss your situation with an attorney or wave your right to such a discussion. In fact you should have asked this question to an attorney instead of to me. Regardless, you will need to go before a judge where the charges are read and some explanation is given. You will be given the opportunity at some point to speak and answer the charges. How this will be done will vary.

What can you do as an inmate when another inmate uses your money to call others as shown on a phone log?

Every jail and prison has rules and regulations, especially regarding telephone use (and abuse. These rules and regulations are typically in a handbook or other written material given to each inmate when first incarcerated.

I have seen inmate-jail television shows that stated inmates have a unique code or identifier for phone use. One inmate is not supposed to give another inmate that code or identifier. If you gave it out, you can get into trouble. But if you let it go on, you could get in worse trouble.

So ask to speak to a Corrections Officer or whoever is in charge of your area. Or send them a note or letter. Fess up if you gave the number to another inmate, or report it if another inmate blackmailed or threatened you to get the number/code. Put a stop to it, even if it means some consequences for you too.

*Family or Friends who suspect that money you are sending for an inmate to have calling abilities is being diverted to another inmate's use, you can also report it. You can also stop adding more money to the inmate's account until it is straightened out.

How can an inmate transfer from New Jersey State Prison to East Jersey State Prison?

I am in the same situation as you, I found in internet that the inmate o the weekly progress report must tell his classification officer the need for a transfer. After that the officer will present a formal referalto ICT, Institutional Classification team and they will send it finally to SCO the State classification team who decides if its aproved or not. I also read that visiting is not a reason for transfer anymore and that the transfer is approved it does not mean it will take acton right away, there mustbe available beds and space in the new Prison.

Was Beth Chapman in prison too?

Yes i don't think she was when dog was, i know that she got in trouble because she was wearing a microphone during one of his hearings (because a&e was taping and she didn't take her wire off), but back when Beth was 19 (I believe) she was working for a Colorado Senator she went to the grocery store to buy lemons. While she was waiting in line the Senator was paging her, there were 5 people in line in front of her so she went around them to use the payphone (she is still holding the lemons). So the store security guards came and told her that she was shoplifting the lemons...Earlier in the day she took her boyfriends gun because he was flourishing it and she was sure he was going to get arrested soon and so she took it, little did she know that she was the one who would later get arrested...but it was all good in the end because that was when she met dog for the first time he was her bailbonds man! So that is why she was arrested for shoplifting and possession of a firearm!!

Will you be strip searched in female prison?

yes you will. it is a very humiliating experience. you are put into a small room and the prison guard (usually female) runs her fingers through your hair. then when that's done she makes you open your mouth and looks up your nostrils. then you have to take off your shirt and she looks in your armpits. then you take your bra off and lift up one breast at a time. then you have to get fully naked and take your pant, skirt, and underwear off. then you will have to bend down and cough hard several times, then she looks at your vagina and toes. then she throws you in prison without your clothes and you have top change into a prison uniform.

How do you find out when an inmate gets out of norco prison in California?

California DOC has an online inmate locator database. It provides admission date, CDC identification number, and current location. But, unfortunately it will not provide any future release date information. Vinelink also has an online search of California inmates providing the same information. Additionally, it also allows you to register online to receive notification by phone or email.

You can also check out the CDOC parole hearing schedules posted on their website. You can request a parole suitability hearing transcript to learn more about how to obtain a verbatim copy of the hearing proceedings.

Is George Jung out of prison?

George Jung, the notorious cocaine smuggler of the 1970s is a repeat offender, which is probably why he is still in prison. Jung has the dubious distinction of being the man that introduced cocaine to North Americans. The Feds made Jung 'an example' to other smugglers, and what was to be his last 'job' his friends turned him over to the law and they went free. I believe the soonest he can get out is 2015. Considering murderers get less prison time, and Jung is now in his 70s, I doubt he is much of a danger to society. Maybe it's time to let him out.

Interesting fact:Jung's misadventures were made into a hit movie starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz, the movie's name 'Blow".
