At you boiler, near your expansion tank, is a pressure reducing valve that puts water into the system automatically. The PRV should be set to maintain a pressure 4 psig more than the height of the system. i.e.

PSIguage = (height of system x .43 PSIg / ft) + 4 psig

i.e = ( 24 ' from fill point to top of system * .43 psi / ft) + 4

= 10.3 + 4 = 14.4 psig (set point of automatic makeup water valve)

FYI: PRV valves normally come set at 12 psig out of the box.

The fact you need to bleed air would lead me to believe that either your PRV set point is not high enough to keep air out the system, or your pump is located upstream of you makeup water point (pumping to the makeup water point) rather than pumping away from it.

I had this happen to me on my ford focus and it could have been two things either a bad water pump or a clogged raidiator if your hose blows off you are having pressure build up some where you just need to find out where its coming from you can also look at your oil color see if its like a milky color this and or your car having smoke come out of your tail pipe could indicate a blown head gasket.

It means that the excess coolant is going where it is supposed to. The coolant expands when hot and goes to the over flow reservoir.

no the red clay like stuff is transmission fluid in your radiator probably leaking from your transcooler

Look in over the right front tire. There is a red knob near the lower read face of the radiator behind the wiring loom. Turn left to open the amount you wish to drain the radiator. Tighten by turning right to stop flow of coolant. Space is tight to get to the red knob.

If you are referring to a late-model Chevy Venture (or similar Chevy), the relays (there is more than one) that control the fans are located in the under hood fuse box. I have included a link to one such fuse box, which has pictures and diagrams of the fuses and relays inside.

Yes as long as it is mixed 50-50 with coolant/antifreeze.

Water isn't used in car radiators, radiator fluid is. that is used because it is a liquid of the right density to hold radiated heat from the radiator and pass it around the car where it is needed.

It means that your antifreeze is low. Check your holding tank immediately or have your mechanic do it. You might need a new thermostat, or some hose repairs.

It is doubtful a radiator cap would cause a car to overheat. Common overheating causes are insufficient coolant, leaking coolant (into or out of your engine), faulty thermostat, blown cooling fan fuse, faulty fan temperature switch ( sender ), faulty fan, or a faulty fan relay.

A cracked radiator would leak the fluid out, leaving no coolant for your engine which would cause your engine to overheat and be destroyed pretty quickly.

So the answer is NO.

Vehicle or central heating?

I highly doubt it, a radiatior keeps your car from over heating so no radiator and your engine might explode. The early Volkswagon beetles were air cooled, no radiator.

The head gasket is gone or the block/head is cracked. Water is mixing with oil. If you remove the valve cover and the head or the intake manifold you may notice a fluid of a deep battleship gray color. This is due to grinding metal fillament mixing with the water and lubricant due to failed lubrication because chances are that you are losing oil if the block is cracked and engine coolant is mixing with water and oil or the head gasket, or the manifold seal is broken and may need to be replaced. An oil leak doesn't always mean that the block is cracked-- your problem could just be a broken head or manifold gasket. This is easy enough to replace but requires extensive dismantling of the top of the motor.
