When fishing they use simple hand-crafted canoues and a spear or a rod not a huge fishing boat that has a motor or an engine that pollutes the earth. They do not waste at all and overall have a very sustainable way of life.

Mostly yes. The Amazon river goes though the Amazon basin which is the rainforest. Being over 6000 km long I cant say for sure that the entire river is surrounded by the forest but a good chunk is.
