First things first, get a 10mm socket and driver. If you have the oil filter, I highly recommend getting a fitted filter socket adapter for it. Makes the job much easier. Also of note, I raised the HSE in order to make it easier to do the job. Ramps are fine, as is a lift. Also, I am assuming that the oil is already drained.

Then sit down in front of the HSE. Now following along the front skid plate, remove the 8 (i think 8) hex head bolts holding the skid plat in place. Now remove the 2 screws around the front tow hook platic cowl. Pulling back the plastic cowl areas to the left and right of this hook, you'll see 2 more hex head bolts, remove these as well. Now the skid plate should pull free easily.

Towards the front of the car, you will see the oil filter. It will be behind 2 oil cooler lines. Provided that the engine is cool, oil drained, you can squeeze your hands in here to fit a oil filter socket in and turn it loose. If not, use a normal oil filter wrench, but make sure it is one with a swivel handle. As you loosen, place a funnel above the cross member bar, otherwise, oil will drop down here an make a huge mess as it runs over both sides of the bar. Make sure the funnel is draining into your pan.

Then it's just a normal change. You will have to slide the hoses away as you replace and tighten the new filter.

put a flat head screw driver in the slit on the back of the fob and turn in counter clockwise. if it does not turn then pinch the edge of the circle with something sharp to loosen it up because it may be stuck (eg. dried coffee stain....)

That depends on what kind of rim and the damage done to it? If the rim is steel, and the rim is merely cracked, yes it can be fixed. You would weld the crack closed. If the rim is bend, and the dent is not on the bead (place where the tire meets the rim) but ont he outside lip, you can simply sledge it back to place. If the rim has a flat spot, then the rim should be fixed by a professional to get it trued. If the rim is aluminum, everything changes. If there are minor scratches, you can get the rim resurfaced and the rim will be fine. After that, any other kind of damage is either irrepairable, or would most likely cost more than a new rim. Best thing to do, if it is an aluminum stock rim, is go to your local scrap yard and find a vehicle with one on it. You can even go to your local Costco tire shop(yes, Costco). They have a listing of a local wheel shop which can try to order your rim.

theres is only one way to tell, when you go out to your car open the radiator, if you cant see in, get a flashlight to see if you see coolant if not fill your vehicle up to the neck and then start the car, wait until you see coolant go down and refill a little at a time until you see it at the bottom of the neck constantly until it doesnt go down. Now your waiting on the thermostat to open, if the coolant starts to rise and come out, put the lid on and your done. that's its capacity, check it everyday or every other day. if your loosing coolant check under your vehicle for leaks, if none, check every other day.

In my experience it's been about every 30k miles. I do a fair amount of off-roading and since the traction control uses the brakes and since I'm often very loaded with camping gear on long trips, this may be more often than normal. The pad sensors will tell you about a thousand miles before they need replacing, so you can let the car tell you when it's time. Note: Don't let anyone tell you the rotors can be "turned" or resurfaced, if they say that, find another mechanic. I tried that once and it is a waste of time and money, they will be noisy and you will just end up replacing them anyway, you need to replace the rotors at every brake job.

Many approaches, but this is how i do mine. Make sure there is enough antifreeze mixture for proper ratio, a bit high in ratio. Take the overflow cap off when car is cold or system is not pressurized. Run the motor till at temperature, the top radiator hose will be warm indicating thermostat is open. Also turn heater temp to high allowing coolant to flow threw it. Rev motor between idle and 2500 rpm periodically, watching overflow reservoir. You will see coolant spill out and air bubbles come up. Keep relacing coolant with water till bubbles stop. This takes me anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. That's it. Replace overflow cap and let idle for 15-20 min. If you were successful it wont overheat. Range rover coolant system does not do well with air in it.

Several things are possible. The drivers side door is opened and closed more than any other. In that door is an all in one electrical door lock actuator. It locks and unlocks the door using the key fob. One of the electrical circuits in that device detects if the door is open or closed. That circuit is fed by a cheap plastic part internally that gets bent/warped over time. The open door error typically happens more often when the car has been sitting in the heat. The correct fix is to replace that door lock mechanism. (not cheap, couple hundred for the part along not counting the labor to remove the inner door panel to get at it.) The cheap and dirty way is to pull the rubber seal where the wiring comes from the door into the car body. The blue wire is the one that feeds the door open message. You can jumper that wire to the black wire and the door will think it is closed. That fix means the door will ALWAYS think it is closed. Locks work etc. but opening that door will not turn on the interior light anymore. The right fix is take it to the dealer and pay them the $500.00 to fix it.
